MTV. Could it get any fricken worse. I dont watch it and havent for years but it stills pisses me off just knowing that it is there. They dont even play videos hardly at all. If you want to see a rock video you have to pay extra for MTV2 just to see what you should be seeing on the mother station. It's full of poser ass mainstreamers who wouldnt know good music if it bit them in the ass unless MTV told them it was good. I dont know if Carson Daily is still around but did he not know that he was the stations bitch. These people are so afraid to find out their own music or discover something new. I listen to mostly unheard of bands and seeing other more 'popular' ones getting hosed ticks me off. Mindless, useless, sheepish jerks. Most of these people have never even been moved by a song! |

MTV = teh evil. No good animation. Isn't like MTV ASIA or Europe. At least they play music videos, more than 75% of the time. Unlike us, it's all shit and more shit and being a bitch to truth ads and anti-marijuana ads.

Really? Wow I like my MTV and Channel V.. well I dunno in US cos I'm in Asia, we only have 1 channel each for MTV and Channel V but the channel is very entertaining wif new groups, songs, video clips, music videos and the old ones too.. MTV Europe have so many channels and choices.. I luv em..

ya...MTV = stupid reality shows all the fuggin time!!
i also watch FUSE as well...cause its much cooler, and they play more interesting things. That, and MTV2, which was like MTV in the orginal days of it. I mean...seriously...its MUSIC TELEVISION!!!!!

Well my point is quite simple. Music is heard with the ears...The ears are in NO way connected to eyesight; not like your sense of smell is connected to taste.
Why the HELL do you need music videos for music? If the song is good you should be able to bust out a CD or turn on the radio and get it over with. If a song blows does that mean the video will make the song better?
Lets review some horrible songs that I can remember off the top of my head. "Crossroads" by BT&H is a stupid song about a premiscuous A-hole that died from a disease he brought on himself. The song does in fact blow since it is stupid in its entirety. The video is a buncha losers scaling a mountain path so they can be dead along-side said dumb-ass who died of his own accord.
Did the video make the song better? Nope..Song still sucks.
At the moment I can't think of any more horrible music so I'll move onto something good.
Lets Use Korns' song "God Hates Me" or whatever the hell its called I can't follow the words well after my thrid tour in Nam disrupted my hearing.
The song was in fact a good song. The video was actually a good video...Did the video make the song better? Nope...Did the video perpetuate sales of their albums? Probably not and if it did then that person it inspired must not have a flippin radio.
So basically it boiled down to people like Motzart and Bethoven (Sp?) made GREAT music and never released a video..Hell, they never even had a 8-track, Cassette, LP, or CD release and yet TODAY we STILL listen to their works. They made music that influenced the world and took things to levels never experienced.
In WW2 MANY songs we remember today like: Over There, Dreaming of a White Christmas, and Daddy Still Loves You; were written and passed down person to person based on their beautiful lyrics and tones they inspired in the hearts of many.
Today you have songs that don't stand for anything but self defication, Murder, Booty calls, Drug using, womanizing, and living for yourself and no one else. And these "Bands" feel they need the videos because they KNOW in 10 years no one will remember them so they NEED as much fame as they can get now before their world is gone from them. |

i could do that...but the thing is that soo many people spend soo much time in front of a tv, that it is so much easier to just change to a MUSIC channel and listen AND watch the music, because for some songs, it is nice to hear and visualize the song at the same time.
so all in all...its because we are lazy

Damn Lazy people screwin it up for everyone. I'd GLADLY give up EVERY music channel on my cable box for that new Anime Channel that's gaining popularity on the East coast...And is pending arrival to Phoenix, Arizona soon. |
