I haven't been here for a while, and decided to do something new that I'm doing at the other forum I'm active with.
There are many people that deny that God is real, or all powerful, etc. I will do my best to answer questions you may have pertaining to Christianity (heads up, though, I am a Calvinistic-Protestant, a Presbyrterian). I will do my best to use real life references, scripture, and the such to try and help this out.
Please allow one to three days for a response from me, as internet is not always active, and I may have to do some reading to find answers.

The bible says in many places the God has punished man for all of his wicked ways, it also says that God is a caring and loving entity, and it says that God created man in his image. If all of this is true, I want to know how and why God can punish man for the flaws that he created him with.
This has been bugging me for awhile. Any clarification would help. |

God is caring and loving, yes. He also punishes man for his wicked ways.
Why can the two not coincide? Does not a father punish his son whom he loves if, say, at the age of fourteen he goes on a bender and loses his virginity at a party. Though the father created the son, and is the role model for his behavior, the son can still go against his father's will, and must be punished. Punishment doesn't mean that there is no love. Contrarily, punishment can easily be a form of love.
I think that God is refered to as the Father so much because of it's analagous purpose.
I hope that cleared it up a little bit, Selrahc. If you need me to try and go into greater detail, just let me know. |

thank you for clearing that up.
I have anothe question for you. What did Jesus do with all the money he was given at birth. I just don't understand how he could have spent all of it, I mean thats like if I was to recieve $150,000,000 at birth and then go live a humble life. there is no way I would be able to spend all of that. What did he spend it all on??? |

Fish and bread for the poor!
Or as PETA would have you belive, just bread. Of course our Savior was a vegan. Killing animals is wrong, even though God once ordered sacrifices.
Good one, PETA. |

This is a roman catholic question,
why is the pope still allowed to sell indulgences?
it doesnt seem all that infalable to sell sin. |

Demonic - Its like cheating at a video game, no fun to start out with max stats. Better to earn what you got. When God game man free will, he was letting his favorite dog out of the fence and said "Alright, if you really love me, you'll come back. If you abandon me, I won't forgive you after all Ive done for you." |
