ooc: Haven't started one in a while, might as well give it a shot.

bic: Noon. The people of Miniopia were going along their business as usual. This was interrupted by a simple, yet intrusive spell. Semi-transparent, black panels of floating energy materialized over Miniopia. Screens above the town square, above homes and even in the quiet feilds. If there was a person that could be reached, (s)he saw a panel. After a few seconds of gathering commotion and attention, Rayne's face appeared on all the screens, his face was black as well as what was left of his hair. Mildly out of breath, he began to speak.

"...I need fighters...town square..."

The screens disappeared. Rayne was at the town square, by the fountain. He washed the sut off of his face and hair. He layed down in the fountain, relaxing and concentrating. Singed hair grew back, burn marks disappeard, burnt clothes restitched. He waited.

ooc: Keep in mind I am Rayne right now. I'll bring in Az later, maybe.

A fire appears on the ground beside the fountain, and a burning silhouette rises from it, dripping what looks like magma. Red hair falls about his shoulders as he looks around, and then expends energy outward, the magma lifting from him and dropping to the ground all around him, hissing. Demonic turns, grinning, to Rayne, raising a hand and waving.

"Lo."

Demonic nods. "That I am. Got your message, and--say, why d'you smell all burnt?"

"Some kind of...lava creature. I didn't see it, but it burnt me out of the sky, apparently it's too strong for me. It lives in a cave near the three volcanoes in the north."

Rayne looks around for a bit and finally gets out of the fountain.

"Come on, I don't think anyone else is coming."

Demonic smirks, reaching into a pouch before pulling out something to tie his hair back into a ponytail as close to his scalp as he can get it.

"Hair gets in the way when I fight. Lead the way. Let's see how this fire monster likes Akira's essence."

Rayne starts walking through town, heading north.

"My wings are too hurt, we have to walk. You know we'll run into random enemies before reaching the volcanoes."

Demonic shrugs.

"This, here, is Sheepwolf country, y'know. I hear my dad had an unpleasant encounter with the buggers once. Hundreds of 'em!"

After a moment of looking around and following, he frowns.

"But... Hells. They're being killed off in this area. I can't feel more than twenty of them in this area. Whatever's killing my Sheepwolves, though... I think I'm going to rip it apart. Slowly."

"I was with your dad when the sheepwolves attacked. They were almost overwhelming...tasty too. Handle it if you want, we don't have to get to the volcanoes in any hurry."

Demonic nods, taking off at a run to the outskirts of the town, where he concentrates. Outward go the mental waves of communication, touching the minds of Sheepwolves nearby, who come. Eighteen of them, who immediately begin a clamor of baaing barks. One of them begins to foam at the mouth in the chaos, terror gripping its little heart, and it begins attacking another. Two Sheepwolves go down before he does.

Fifteen Sheepwolves. Their army. Demonic turns to Rayne, shaking his head.

"A burning beast destroyed over a thousand of their number. Single-handedly."
