Guys, I can't help it. I keep thinking back of the days when...
1) The Escape key actually did SOMETHING.
2) You could buy a 50 Megabyte hard drive and never expect to fill it all up.
3) Pentiums didn't exist.
4) Pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE actually restarted the computer.
5) The only color available was beige.
6) N00bs were kept away because simple DOS commands looked like gibberish to them.
7) Joysticks were made of stainless steel.
Windows had no bugs.
9) Internet gaming was unthinkable.
10) If there was a problem, you could fix it yourself.
11) The Lost Vikings was the pinnacle in computer gaming.
12) Control pads had only two buttons.
13) Entire programs could fit on one single floppy disk.
14) The system actually had a good reason not to play sounds and music.
And finally...
15) Jill of the Jungle was the sexiest babe in the world. |

Are you kidding... I remember my first computer.
286 12mhz
Ran DOS 6
1 MEG of Ram
Windows never worked...
What about when there were no hard drives.
When you had to boot the computer with a boot disk
And there was no internet
And you had to put the PHONE RECEIVER on your MODEM which was a whopping 2400 baud. |

I remember having to remember these long drawn out commands to run anything on my Commodore 64, and sometimes you had to have a Data Cassette too. |

WOO! Oregon Trail! Greatest damn game ever! I'd push them oxen till they died a horrible bloody death...But we had more than enough meat because of the swath of death I cut on the trail.
Oh yeah I had a 40 Mhz comp with an 8 meg HD and like 2 ram or something...And 42 floppy (Actually floppy) discs with all my cool games like Zaxon and Mega Man (Which oddly enough was crappier than the Nintendo version.) |

Oh yeah....you all wanna hear rare?
Here in chronological order is what my family owned
Commodore 64...Go PO!
Apple IIe (we didn't own this but I'll be darned if I didn't spend hours after school playing Oregon Trail just to die and put lewd or funny things on my tombstone for other students to find)
Amiga 2000 (I still believe this comp is responsible for Windows...it had an OS called Workbench, you had to load this first, then it would bring up a windows like screen to load certain games. Please Post if you ever owned one of these so I don't feel alone.)
Tandy Desktop (here's a rare one for ya)
My beautiful 286, circa Shino (had the greatest software ever..Windows 3.11)
From here on it was newer PC's like my 75MHZ, my 90MHZ pentiums and our Emachines and such so I am not mentioning these
Thank you for starting this thread Shuri...you get one Excel Point
