Myself I saw the strokes tuesday night.
The Raveonettes opened for them and put on a pretty good show, their music all sounded the same though. Sharin Foo is ridiculously hot btw.
After that the strokes played their set, and it rocked me. They put on one hell of a show and if any of you get the chance to go see them I highly recommend it.
After which I left the venue and walked to a gas station to get something to drink, and by the time I was heading back to my car the singer and drummer were out back signing autographs. I got a chance to talk to them for a few min and they are really cool to their fans.
My only complaint was no encore, but the show was so good it wasn’t a big deal. |

The last concert I went to see was Godsmack, around Christmas time. They were phenomenal, and the concert reminded me why they're one of my favorite bands. They also played a pretty long set with an encore.
The first opener was this young local band that had a sound that was like a mix of southern rock and the Black Crowes. I wish I remembered their name because they were really good as well. The second opener was Adema, and although I'm not a fan they weren't bad.
All in all, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Up there with Our Lady Peace and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. |

Dude! If I get around to AWA, me and Rev and possibly Tobs are dragging you to a concert in the area. We won't get in the crowd so you don't get claustrophobic, we'll just hang in the back. I like that better anyway, it lets you actually sit back and enjoy the music. |

I could have sworn i posted in this thread before.....
anyway, The last one i went to was "sex with girls", with a friend of mine on Drums. The guy before them was pretty lame, though.
Before that, it was the Liars.
They have killer stage presence, but I wasn't familiar enough with their music to really get into it. I don't remember the bands that played before the Liars too well, but i remember them being pretty funky. |
