The Importance of 4/20

Today is three days in one. I only knew of one.

1) (This is the one I knew) Today is Hitler's birthday! Should we be excited? Should we be sad? Should we say fuck you you dirty rotten bastard? I kinda think Hitler... nevermind. I'm not gonna say anything. I'm just gonna keep my big mouth shut... or keep my fingers still... or something.

2) Colombine's Anniversary. Now that I think about it I think I knew this one too. Oh well I'm sorry for all the kids that died. Now this may sound coldhearted but am I supposed to walk arounf school crying for them? I didn't know them!

3) This I forgot about. 4-20 is smokers code. In California is a cop caught you with less than an ounce on Pot on you he couldn't arrest you. Just cite you. LOL I think it's funny. Any way most smokers lite up on this day in remembrance.

And Hitler was one of the greatest generals ever and I respect his ability to lead his nation. He's still a fuck-head but damn did he revitalize a dead country. So it's respect without admiration. Kinda like respecting Napolian and he was French.

Heard a funny bit on the radio the other day:

"It has come to our attention that a museum in Germany has recently erected a life-size statue of Adolf Hitler in their main foyer. Apparently, this statue was so life-like that the french surrendered to it yesterday."

I didn't think of anything today, until I heard on the radio this morning that it was the anniversary of Columbine, then Hitler's birthday, then I realized that it was 4/20 and all the retard smokers go out and celebrate.

Actually, that radio news report sparked a concersation between my dad and I this morning in the car about how we tend to immortalize these bad things. Not that we shouldn't be aware of the tragic events that may have happened, I believe that all of this "X anniversary of bad event Y" nonsense is getting out of hand. Yes, it was tragic, but if you don't move on with your life, how do you ever expect to avoid another event Y from occurring? And at this rate, in time we will have a bad event anniversary every day of the year, and that is not the society that we should be living in.
