Garage called. What was supposed to be a one-day 1250$ job to replace my bumper and flare turned out to be an underestimation. The reinforcement was cracked, and the body was bent as well, meaning the bill can only go sky fucking high from there... |

Well, if Tobias "Fidel Gotti" Reaver can't get them to change their minds, I would suggest drinking heavily.

Its not the shops fault that the body was jacked up. Just remember the golden rule of auto repair. If it caust more to fix it than you paid for the car, get a new car.
Good luck budy |

Reaper's got the right idea. Whenever putting money into repairing your car (not fixing it up to be better, mind you) you should always keep in mind just how far it's logical to go. After all, if it costs more to fix the car than to get a new car, that just doesn't make any sense.
On an on-topic note, yes, that does seem to suck.

The "car" is a shining Jeep Liberty Limited 2002.
I think I'll wait until I repair it a few times before scrappin' it. |

This is why I want to learn how to do as many auto-repairs myself as I can. You wouldn't believe how much money you can save if you just take the time to learn how to do it yourself. A lot of times its not even that difficult. The biggest problem is having the necessary tools for the job. I remember one time my dad and I replaced the alternator on my car by ourselves. It took a while, but the money we saved was probably crazy. |
