I'm lost. I don't know what P2P software to get anymore... 
WinMX refuses to connect pretty much anywhere and 95% of my transfer list is forever red.
KaZaA is an absolute fucking RAM whore that prevents me from doing anything else quickly on the computer.
eDonkey is a piece of shit, period.
Shareaza isn't capable of finding a search result if it came up and bit it in the ass.
What now?... |

Bittorrent is nice, you just have to find sites with the torrent files you want. Also, I just downloaded the newest WinMX beta. It worked pretty well for me in my 10 minute test. You might wanna give it a try. |

BT is probably the way a lot of things will switch over to, especially with larger files and collections. If you can find the torrent link, you'll be all set. For smaller stuff, I tend to run combinations of other sharing programs to get what I'd like to have. |

Yeah, but what about classic P2P? BitTorrent to me is just some fancy downloader that uses alternate methods to fetch the file. I want something with at least a search box and a transfer window!
I tried Shareaza already and it has the annoying ability to inexplicably kill my entire Internet connection within 5 minutes. |

Hmm... for that, have you tried K-Lite? I don't know if it will be any better on the ram hogging, but it works okay for me... |

I use E-mule(modified Edonkey client) and BT(I use the ABC client). Emule is a good source but can take some time to complete even small items is at all. I have used WinMX some but with not enough for a opinion. I cannot stop using BT, I have filled 450GB and still going  Most things I find on BT but they do need a little bit of searching. |
