Everywhere I go, I get slandered for being a Asian and a Republican. I don't fuckin' get why I can't be a minority and a Republican. Just because I believe in Conservative and Republican views, and that I'm out of the stereotype of the GOP, I'm now slander bait by some un-educated and politically blinded liberals?

I support the GOP, and I'm an Asian. DEAL WITH IT!

Actually, I'm really not anything on that front. I'm an independent.

Saying you're a republican doesn't mean you agree with all republican views...Just like 51% or more of them...I'm far from pro-life so I don't care about abortions or stem cell research but I do believe in freedom of speech and lower taxes which is a Republican thing. Democrats want everything censored unless it benefits their cause at which point they make moives about it.

And the Asian Republican thing seems really strange seeing as Democrats wish for all the races to be part of a demographic and stay secluded through things like affermative action. While the Republicans want everyone to be equal and do away with affirmative action and hate crime laws.

I honestly never heard that if you're Asian you can't be Republican, or whatever. And that totally sucks that people get slandered for that. All I can say is to not let it bother you. The party system is nonsense anyway. You should believe what you want, and support who you want, and not let anyone sway your feelings. Come November, I will vote for whoever I believe is the best candidate, regardless of party, and that's the way it should be. Its ridiculous to vote for someone just because of their party affiliation.

There are people out there who will challenge your beliefs -- some will do it quite vehemently. As long as you know where you stand on issues and you're okay with it, that's all that matters. My family's Asian and my parents vote Republican; I've never heard that you can't vote a certain way based on your race.

It technically started with all blacks had to vote republican because it was the party of Lincoln.

Somehow along the way it became you had to vote 'x' based on race, class, and education.

Well, guess that education thing really worked, huh?
