Is anyone going to go see them? Maybe? Possibly?
L'arc is a Japanese band that's pretty popular overseas (East Asia), and now, they've decided to come and perform in our very own backyard! Hurray. Sadly, this place is not a backyard to all of us, for it is at Otakon 2004... which is Maryland, correct?
I'd LOOOVE to go see them.... but due to the circumstances, I cannot. u_u This saddens me.
I think anyone who goes to Otakon with be able to see them... but all I really know is that they'll be performing in the First Mariner Arena.
So... input?
Also.... sorry if you guys think this should be put in the convention circuit; I'm just focusing on them alone, not really Otakon. |

Sonnova...Im not exactly a huge J-rock fan, but I've have downlaoded way more than my fair share of LAeC - its just such good back ground music, one of those "always on your playlist" bands, I wish I was goign to Otakon, dammit.
On a side note, if you like LAeC, check out "Dual Jewel". Their recordings kinda suck, but they rock pretty hard live. |

Yea Kai, it's rainbow. It took me a second to realize it, I was like "The arc...in...sky...Rainbow!" It's been a while since I took french.
Anyways, due to circumstances, I might be going to Otakon instead of AWA, considering I don't have to stay with anybody my parents don't trust. Maryland baby represent! whoop whoop. ...what am I saying, maryland sucks. Anyways, if I go, I'll keep an eye and an ear out for them. |

I heard that they're gonna be signing autographs... this saddens me even more since I will not be able to be there
On another note, I've heard of Duel Jewel for quite a while now, and they're pretty good....I like them... and I've heard some crazy things about their live performances.
Azurel: If you go, can you try to get some pictures? I know this is kinda big and asking you to go out of your way, but.... I would love you forever |

When Faye, Grallick and I saw them at Akon last year it was a freakin blast. They didn't speak a lick of english so they would say something in japanese and we'd all be like "yyeeeaahh!" "rrrssssccckkkk!". We had paled up with a few chicks and were bumming around with them off an on and it just so happened one of them spoke japanese. After the show she told us they were saying things like "Your momma licks balls" and stuff like that. The longer it went on, she said, the wilder they got, since they could say it with a straighter face more and more. One of the guitarists would occasionally spit water at us, which was funner than it sounds, and they also shot water guns and nerf rockets. And they're drummer is BAD ASS!
They also sound a lot better in concert. I bought one of their CDs "noah", and even thoughj it had the same songs it was mixed really badly and the instruments sounded like they were recorded from like 50ft away or something. Anyway, they're still pretty cool and if you get a chance to see them do so.
One thing I didnt find out about them until later, however, is that they are all guys. You'll fin dit harder to believe when you see them up close. But they're so kawaii ^_^ |

That sounded like an awesome experience.
but...
YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT THEY WERE GUYS?
Haha, welcome to the world of visual kei (I think that's what they're considered). |

yeah, I've hence picked up on a few hot words in the J-rock culture, (like visual Kei, gothic lolita, etc), but you wouldn't really understand if you didnt see them in concert. They ddnt look like thin men dressed up as girls, they looked like smokin hot chicks. *squeel* Its enough to make a man question his sexuality accedentially. |

ShinKuKitsune, getting those pictures may be difficult. They are only playing on the day where the most people show up, and consequently it costs more to get in on that day. Also, we'd have to buy tickets to go see that, cuz it's extra. I would have tried if I wasn't paying for everything myself, sorry.
Maybe i'll manage somehow, I don't know.
EDIT: bad luck anyways, I just read over the rules and cameras are forbidden to be used inside the arena (Where the concert is being held) |

Daij: Oh man, that's HILARIOUS. I've seen lives, though, in videos and stuff... they look the same to me... but who knows. Duel Jewel should come to AWA.
Azurel: pshaw, forbidden nothin'. Sneak one in in your bra, silly.
D
KIDDING
But thank you anyway... I knew it woulda been hard anyway. But have fun |
