Basically I have had no sound since my reformat
I have checked the drivers, sound card every thing. Still no sound.
You guys have any ideas what could be wrong. |

Well, If you have gone online and checked for the latest driver,
And you have checked the card and it is inserted into the slot properly
And your speakers are plugged in
And your volume is up in Windows
It may be a problem with the port, or your sound card.
Do you have another available port that the card will fit into? |

well I had checked every thing you guys said prior to my post, I have a old set of speakers some where. I figure Ill try those out and see if maybe its my speakers themselves that are broken. |

Sugjestions:
Update Windows if you haven't allready.
Change the PCI slot the card is in.
If it is a built in sound card then try updating the MBoard drivers.
If you changed the sound card check and see if any previous sound drivers are installed and if so remove them.
If you are trying to use an add on sound card and there is a sound card built into the Main Board make sure the built in sound is disabled.
Probably more things to try but these are the most common things I have come accross aside from hardware failure. |

woot I totaly got my sound working for the first time in months, It is actually weird to use the comp with sound for me now. |
