So yea. Star wars 4-6 coming out on dvd soon. I was all excited.....until i found out they were the special editions......only he was going back and making them more "special".
What I know is being changed:
Boba fett's voice replaced with the guy who did Jango fett's voice in Episode 2 (alright mate?)
Emperor is being replaced by the guy who did him in the new movies.(why?)
Adding a gungan celebration scene where gungan's cheer "weesa free" (grumble)
Anakin's ghost replaced by the ghost of Hayden Christenson (BLASPHEMY)
Thats just what i can remember reading about from the top of my mind.
Dont get me wrong i loved the original trilogies but the special editions were crap. Han Solo turns from this kickass rogue to a dude defending himself againt a blind idiot who cant shoot at point blank range. Also the Jabba scene in a new hope SUCKED. I swear mos eisley looked like it was from a playstation game. Did i mention that there is no option to watch the original versions? |

Are you actually serious about all that? The guy who did the original Emperor IS the guy who's doing it in the new ones. It's the same dude. You just have to listen to the voice to know. And all that other stuff sound so ridiculous that I just can't buy it.

Glad I have multiple copies of original and Special Edition (EMPIRE SE was the best by far) on VHS if that is true.

That third one, changing the Emporer, makes sense actually since that was a woman with a goats eyes put over.

The bottom part of that picture looked way better then the top one which is what they are replacing it with. |
