Ok, so you all remember how many of us hate bad punctuation and spelling amongst some of the rest of humanity on the internet. Well, look no further to Lynne Truss' book, "Eats, shoots and leaves".

What's this book about, you may ask? Well, it's bad punctuation. Seriously. My Composition and Prose teacher is having us read it, and I really don't think he could have picked a better piece to read. It is pretty much about how people use punctuation incorrectly, and how sticklers (like Ms Truss) hate it with a dear passion.

Just to give you the back of the book:

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.
"Why? asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulders.
"I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"PANDA. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.


So if you get what happened up there (like I did) and you want to read a funny book, go to your bookstore and buy this book. I've just started to read this book, and I'm already hooked...which is a hard thing for me to do!

I tell that joke to everyone! Except my version is PG13 rated....it's a bar, he shoots people, and the police are the ones to show up and look it up in a dictionary. And it's always spoken so you don't have to worry about people gettin confused over the comma.

Sounds interesting, though. I'll check it out.... eventually. Maybe. xD
