Introducing Faye and the White Moon Society

[Faye]

It is about mid-afternoon in Miniopia. The sun is shinning bright with barely a cloud in the sky. Sakura’s P-Okie shop is bustling with business as usual, because no one in Miniopia can go with out P-okie for very long. Kiyomi’s pet shop is doing well with everyone buying new pets and buying food for the old ones. The newly formed KPOM nightly news has its reporters’ out in force collecting all of the top stories so the people of Miniopia could be well informed of the days events. It is a truly wonderful day.

Suddenly moisture began to fill the air and it became incredibly humid. Within a matter of minutes storm clouds had filled the sky and along with them came thunder, lightning, rain and powerful gusts of wind. It was as if a hurricane has suddenly formed over the city. The lightning streaked around always dispersing at the same point in the sky. At that point a portal, about the size of the city opened in the sky. Most would recognize it as a dimensional gate, but no one had any idea as to where it led.

Slowly the wind died, the rain stopped falling, and the thunder was silenced. However the lightning and the clouds remained, circling the massive gate in the sky. Then it appeared as if it was there all along. Inside the gate was a massive castle with wings, floating just on the other side of the gate.

The castle suddenly lurched forward and began to move through the gate. As it did the actual size of the castle became much more apparent. It was at least the size of 15 city blocks and its wings, that were almost transparent, easily stretched a mile on either side. When it had completely emerged from the gate, it closed quickly behind and the clouds disappeared soon after.

It hovered above the city for a few minutes and then moved effortlessly off to the west. Once it got safely outside the city, ropes and chains began to fly over the castle walls, its gates opened and a few people began to file out and leap from the sides. They would fall a little ways, slow, and touch gently to the ground. They worked quickly so that they could guide the castle to the ground, everyone of them grabbing a rope or chain and pulling it taunt. The castle then gently set itself on the ground as if it were on a giant pillow and the wings disappeared.. The people on the ground tied off their ends and quickly retreated back into the castle.

Inside the castle

Faye stepped out of the Amethistian engine that powered the castle and allowed it to travel to different plains of existence. This engine resided in the center of the castle and barely had enough room in it for one person. It was designed to fit Faye perfectly, right down to her 20 ft wingspan. Her wings were what allowed her to pilot the castle as if it were just an extension of herself. However it used a massive amount of magical energy and drained the pilot tremendously, especially during extra planar travel.

As Faye stepped out of the engine she staggered and almost lost her balance. Had it not been for Celeste their to catch her, like she always was, she would have probably fallen. “Thank you Celeste.” She said with a smile on her face “Give me a status report, was there any complications during our trip?” Celeste was a half elf that had been with Faye since the beginning and her second in command. She is about 5 inches taller that Faye and has a much more muscular build. Her brown hair flows to about the middle of her back and her dark skin showed scars representing the many battles she has participated in. She wears a silver breast plate and has 2 studded whips hanging from each hip as well as a Falchion strapped to her back. “No Luna Sierra, everything has been fine, you have become an excellent pilot. However you did bring us in over a rather large city and the entry storms might have caused some damage.” “I didn’t hit anything, did I?” Faye said with a slight blush. With a snicker Celeste replies “No, you did not hit anything.” “Good. Then lets go see if we can help with the damages.” Faye says as she walks down the hall that leads to the courtyard.

Walking out into the sunshine forced her to squint her eyes until they got used to the light again. Once she was able to see, she walked through the courtyard with Celeste and out the front gates to stand next to Snivlebin, her gnomish scientific advisor. “Well Snivlebin, what can you tell me about this place?” The gnome looked up at Faye with a confused look and said “Nothing, we have never been here before and as far as I can tell no one else has been either” Faye looks on with a smile and feeling particularly proud of herself for finding uncharted territory. “Good, then lets make the most of our time here and find out as much about this place as we can. Snivlebin, you have permission to explore as much as you need. Celeste make sure he gets protected by some of the higher level students, we cant be too cautious since we know nothing of this place. I will go on ahead to the city and see what I can find out.” Before Celeste could protest against her going off by herself Faye spread her wings and leapt into the air. As she did a screech was heard from the top of the castle as a silver hawk flew from one of the upper spires. It caught up with Faye and they flew to the city at a steady pace.

OOC: Anyone feel free to jump in here. I am just trying to stretch my legs a little bit. And sorry for any bad grammar or spelling errors. I had this all written out before but when I read over it to post it I decided to rewrite the whole thing.

Dai came out of the pet shop, looked up into the sky, and promptly spit out the soda he was drinking.

"Holy crap!" he exclaimed, wiping the sticky drink from his shirt. Spooky looked at the castle with disinterest - a sort of been there done that kind of look. "Didn't expect to see her here...Well, lets make the best of it and try to steal it." he said indicating the castle with a nod of his head.

Spooky got a sly grin on his face and the two darted behind a building just intime to avoid the shadow of the giant hawk that was now patrolling the town.

[Azurel]

Rayne's body was leaned against the brick wall in an alley of the city that the castle had emerged above. At the time, he was arguing with Azurel. Rayne wanted to destroy the city and test out a few of his high-end, long-range techniques. Azurel, however, had friends in the city and could not let Rayne go and murder them when he could just as easily make waste to a forest.

Rayne's ear perked up the sense of a giant shadow of something with structure moved over the city. The storm was not that big of a shock to Rayne, he had known enemies to make stronger natural disasters in less amount of time.

Rayne and Azurel both stopped their arguing due to interest in this new object. Rayne stepped away from the wall and flash jumped high into the air and, with no means of flight, began a free fall straight down in the direction of where he was landing. Wings emerged, rather violently, out of his back, sending blood and a strange internal liquid into the surrounding air. Rayne's skin began to get darker and more purple, his trenchcoat became a shadow that seemed to have a mind of it's own and melted into the slightly more muscular body, and his hands turned into claws with dark purple nails. Rayne had become Azurel.

Azurel was too high up and moving too fast for flapping his wings to do any good. By the time he was transformed and in control of his body, he was mere feet from the ground. He instantly opened his wings as far out as they could, slowing down his descent very rapidly. He winced as the whiplash caused by his sudden deceleration almost tore his wings off. He was still dropping too fast, so he began flapping when he neared the ground. Azurel finally gently touched down, even though it was a painful experience.

"Asshole." He said to Rayne, but aloud.

Azurel took off to the skies after resting for a moment, rising above the city. As he neared the castle, he saw a winged female and a hawk. Azurel stopped and hovered in the air, not wanting an approaching half-demon to look like a threat to the girl. He waited for her to approach him.

[Faye]

The remarks by Celeste as she flew from the castle brought a smile to her face. Celeste had always been more like a mother to Faye, than a friend. Her smile grew as the silver colored hawk flew up beside Faye. "Glad you decided to join me Chloe." She spoke softly, knowing that there was no need to communicate verbally with her familiar. "I dont like being couped up in that castle while we are traveling through the planes. I never get a chance to...." Chloe stopped in mid sentenced and motioned for Faye to look ahead.

She half expected to see and army on the march for her castle or even some kind of diplomat. Instead she saw a demon floating in the air, apparently waiting for her. Chloe spoke a mental warning of evil to Faye, but she had felt it too. Regardless of her feelings, Faye adjusted her flight path to meet with this demonic stranger.

She stopped about 10 feet away from him and hovered for a moment as Chloe flew up and around the scene. "Thou'al'aora my name is Fayelenthareil and I am Luna Sierra of the White Moon Society...." Faye let a bit of a confused look to slide across her face, she wasnt quite sure what to say next. She had never discovered a plane before. After a moment she extended her hand to shake with the demon. All the while clenching her bow tightly in her left.

[Diablo]

Diablo moved forward from the shadow, sniffing the new scent of the others and slowly made his way towards them in the shadows. His one hand on his blade the other ready to block a punch or blow from a bunt wepon.

[Azurel]

Azurel could hear her grip tighten on her bow as skin squeaked against (I'm going to assume wood). He then smiled and then moved forward, grabbing and shaking her hand.

"The name's Azurel, a half-demon. I'm going to assume your not from around here, and given the fact that Rayne won't be able to harm you so far up in the sky, I'm going to ask your intentions for coming to this place."

[Diablo]

Diablo made that hawk could not see him as he moved closer to hear the conversation. As he snuck around, he made to sure to move as silently as possible, knowing that Azurel had some fine tuned ears. When Diablo reached the best spot to listen, he crouched down, still holding his sword with his left hand and looked on.

[Reverend]

Airius had ventured out of the P-Okie shop to examine the castle that had just intruded into the realm.

"What is it Reverend Origen?" Airius looked down at a child tugging at his robes. "Is it from Mod?"

"Well, I am not sure, but I just saw someone I know head towards it, so why don't you head back into the shop, and let me go take a look."

The youth ran off into Sakura's store, as Airius strode to the front door of the castle. He stopped upon seeing Azurel floating in midair speaking to a winged woman.

"Azurel, what is the news?"

[Azurel]

ooc: we're like, above the city, lol. Hmm, I'll cope.

bic: Azurel sensed Diablo, but decided to ignore it. It wouldn't matter if he heard the conversation or not. Hearing Rev scream, Azurel looked down and return his focus on the girl.

"You might want to hold off your answer til you are infront of that man down there, come on."

Azurel slowed the flapping of his wings and gently glided down to Rev.

[Faye]

Faye's ears twitched a bit, her ears let her know when danger is about, though she saw nothing. "Perhaps it was this Rayne character, Azurel spoke of?" Faye thought to herself.

She began to speak, but was interupted by a man hollering from the ground. The half demon as if they were friends howerver Faye and Chloe both sensed that Azurel was evil and the man on the ground was not.

Faye shot a mental message to chloe, telling her to keep a sharp eye out while she conversed with these new people. At that she followed Azurel down, to meet this new person.
