I'm sick of Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, and pretty much all the other stuff that the white kids listen to at Berkmar.
I miss the 90s =/
Do I have any support for bands like Live, Talking Heads, Counting Crows, DMB, and the like, or has everyone converted to the jump-in-Converse whine-about-girlfriend music? |

Aww c'mon...Taking Back Sunday has no place amongst those processors of crap. Taking Back Sunday is a truly talented band. Not quite emo, but more like a punk band with more talent. Taking Back Sunday plays solid, solid music that's relatable to most anyone.
The other bands you named are monumentally bad, and that goes without saying. However, I will have to profoundly disagree with any negative opinion about Taking Back Sunday. Listen to "Tell All Your Friends" and then tell me you at least don't hate them. |

Although I have nothing against Accidentally in Love, it's nothing compared to any other CC song. What I love about bands like CC is that they write songs based on a wide variety of emotions/events, whereas most of the other bands I listed say "Okay, who broke up with someone? We need a song that everyone will like!"
As for TBS, their lyrics don't tick me off. They're just so predictable musically.

I'll give you that. For the most part they are predictable but they are still brilliant to listen to. If a band that's completely unpredictable is what you desire, I'll link you to a wonderful band that lacks any sense of prediction.
Behold...The Arctopus! : 1 drummer, 1 guitarist, and 1 guy who plays a Chapman stick (six guitar strings, and six bass strings) and the guitarists do not pick. They only play by tapping the strings.
