I am actually finally going to do something with my voice (other than talk a lot)! Someone told Excel they really could feel the emotion behind the sond I wrote for him and it really moved them. That, in turn, moved me to think that maybe I COULD do something with my vocal chords. So I am working on learning to read notes, I am going to take piano, and maybe pick up voice lessons once again. I am working on a couple songs right now, but it is hard when I cannot write or read notes yet. LOL. |

It's actually not that hard. Learning which notes are which on a music staff is simple, just simple memorization. As for piano, I wouldn't know much since I play drums. Congratulations on the music mixer. Good to see you're doing something with your voice. |

Yeah, the problem is actually applying the notes. I can memorize which ones are which on paper, but I cannot memorize which are which when I hear them. I see notes and music as detailed images and colours, so my mind just does not want to accept the fact that music can be reduced to simple symbles. LOL. |

yeah, that was my problem. I could read the note and even tell you which syllable, but i couldnt get the tone down. Finally, after LOTS of practice, i got it. Not to say i still have it, but.....yeah. I wish i could get back into voice lessons. I was actually tellin dai on the way to dinner tonight how much i want to find some one who does that here. the problem is that i cant find anyone! i'm willing to pay almost anythign for it, so if anyone knows anyone in texas anywhere from denison to plano (if you're local, you'll understand) or up to Durant, Ok, please let me know. i'm finally desperate. You're awesome, kiyomi!!!! |

Heh I use to have a band, we did our own japanese rock songs, our name was "Mixed Emotions" and we had a blast, we broke up over two years ago though. 
I was also in some musical plays my first reaction was "man I didn't know I could do saprano" but I did. Just comes to show what tallents we don't know we have. ^_^ congrats Ki! -glomps- |

Well, I sing in a lot higher voice than I thought I could, too. People hear their own voice as lower than it really is because it is right there in your ears, and you can hear it internally, too, or something like that. |
