I guess the title covers my concern. I'm wondering if anyone has a dual layer burner or at least knows if they're worth the money. I got a combo drive last summer, upgraded to a full dvd burner for Xmas, and would like to break the pattern of changing drives every few months. Thinking about backing up my hard drive but can you easily just drop 9gigs of info onto the disc? Also as far as copying my movies, I found that my Initial D discs are on dual layer discs but only have 4gigs of info on them anyway. Does anyone actually use the extra space or is it just for show? |

There are some DVDs that use both layers.
LOTR I believe is a perfect example of a series of movies that use just about all the space. |
