Pretty okay game overall. The game itself is freeware, but the official server to play it on is pay-to-play. I stick on this private server now:

If you want in, sign up quick, the admin expects to close registration after 500 people sign up! O_O This is a pretty good server. The XP/SP/money/item drop multiplicator is set to 5/5/8/8. Believe me, you'll still find it a bit long to level up and get the cash you need (so imagine on the official servers!)

This game has PK enabled. Technically, you can PK anyone anytime, but if you do, your name becomes either purple (saying you are attacking someone or being attacked) or red (saying you PKed someone unprovoked). If your name is red, you'll have to kill several monsters to bring your karma back to neutral, as the NPC guards will attack red players on sight.

I'm there in the clan PSOW. You can page me, Kodi, by using "Kodi <message> (yes, one quotation mark). You can also page Laiya, who's a friend of mine. Currently, our clan can only accept 10 people max (game mechanics) but as the clan gains levels, more spots open up.

Hey Shuri,do you still have to pay a monthly charge to play on the forsaken private server?...i tried some "free" servers but the client(set-up.exe is corrupted and you can't create an account for now).

Forsaken is free. It's the official L2 server that's pay to pay.

Update: I'm now on the Ultima private server. To create an account, go to the register page of the site.

Wow it actually worked hehe,that's pretty cool...i'm on the forsaken server,the Ultimaro closed down account creation just yesterday.
