We'll yesterday was the preformance of the 3 high school choirs (SSA, TTBB, and SATB) and it was AWESOME in all senses of the word!!! I'd never had the chance to work with so many (close to 300 in the SATB alone) talented people that enjoyed making music and were deticated to it. Very soon im going to get a CD with the preformance on it and ill try to host a few songs so you can hear them. It wont be anything like the preformance but, it will be something. i heard that and it made me happy ^_^
As for how good we were, when we finished the last note of the last song, after the director cut us off, but before the note had finished hanging in the air, half of the middle section of the audiance was OFF the ground because they jumped up to clap!! the feeling you get when you have responses like that is the reson why i sing.
What we did was in september we paid for a CD and some music and learned it on owr own. sometime in november we auditiond for the choir and i somehow made it in (you see, i was a bad student and didnt start practicing till 3 days before the audition  ). well, this past thursday and friday we practiced as a group with and increadible director by the name of Granville M. Oldham, Jr. (if you sing and EVER get the chance to meet this man, DO IT!!!). before i met him, i had no idea you could become exausted from singing. he worked us to death!
but anyway, i just had to share, and like i said up there, I'll try to upload some of the songs somewhere sometime soon. |

Wow, that sounds amazing. I'd like to hear it if you get it upload. Being surounded by talent (in whatever form) of students is a great experience. I've done it with Latin and Drama. And hopefully academics in general. (Pending interview for Governer's Honors Program in Latin). Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. Glad all turned out extrodinarily well! |

Thanks, im also realy glad it turned out so well.
And good luck with your goveners honor program thing.
I always wanted to learn latin, maby you can name some good books for me to find. |

OK, i have finaly gotten the CD with the songs so you cna hear them... i just need somewhere to upload them so if you have any suggestions, i need them, or if your intrested, PM me with your email, and ill send the too you. i am a bit ahamed to admit we screwed up a bit in a few places, but over all it sounds preaty good. |
