Hey I just got back from the meeting on Sunday and OMG they need so many more staffers. if any of you think you can staff for AWA the next meeting is
Sunday, May 22, 2005 - 3:00 - 6:00 (though the one yesterday ended around 4:30)

Yeah it's too bad b/c they really need people for Registration, Security, Special Events, And The Con Suite. There are a couple of positions avaliable in some other job groups but they are mostly by interview or request only. |

Did I read Security? I'm interested. If their's a position available that is. At worst, whatever ends up being in last-minute demand, I'd be interested. Of course I'd like to know what it'd be about, not like I can be Mr. (everything) ^^; ah not that I wouldn't want to tho. hehe |

You dont wanna work Security B. Specially not at AWA. When I was staffing at Ani-magic I was assigned to logistics. The Security staff was constantly working all day. It'd be a big chunk of time you'd lose to enjoy the con :O
Registration is always insanity at cons especially first day. I had a buddy workin registration confined to the tables for most of the con. |

I don't think I ever would. K-chan worked for Registration at Dragon Con last year, and she spent more time worrying about getting in all the hours she had for that and stressing over the difficulties people were giving her than actually enjoying the Con. |

Yeah...last year they had Rev guarding the table the whole time. I don't think anyone would mess with him.
So there are jobs you have to interview for? I know I can't do anything since I don't live anywhere near there, but I'm curious. What would you have to interview for? Covert ops? Con organizer? ??? |
