Radeon has moved up a notch, but is it really worth going out and buying anotehr videocard.

according to these performance tests... doesn't seem like the added memory did anything for current games.

I think it is actually  I mean ... look at that lack of appropriate usage of 512 mb! In nearly ALL benchmarks, the difference between the 512 mb and 256 mb is ... likely to be unoticable in game as you'll play. I'm curious to see the price range from the GeForce 6800 GT and the Radeon X800 XL 512 mb ... |

The GeForce is 200$ ... quite a huge price difference for such lil performance loss compared to the X800 o-o I'd have enough extra money to upgrade my CPU and buy an 80 gig harddrive! :3 ... or buy extra 512 mb and get an 80 gig harddrive hmmm decision decision |

I'm running a Radeon 9700 that Osiris gave me.
I run wow and guild wars at 1280 x 1024
No problems there. It's good stuff.
Shan runs a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128M.
Hers runs almost as well as mine does. |
