I'm Sorry but this is just F'ed up
Ok basically this woman was raped by her father in law. A Muslim council of community elders has now decided the rape nullified her marriage, so she must now marry her father in law, and change her relationship with her husband to that of mother and daughter.
There is at least talk of it being over turned, and the father in law actually being put to death. So I hope that happens lol |

thats just totally wrong, forced marriage is wrong anyway (youd be suprised how many asian/indians commit adultery because theyre not with the person they love) but thats taking it too far!! |

First off, that is bullshit, that is NOT our Syariah (Islamic) law and that is just some stupid extreme Muslim council making their own decision which is not based on the Syariah.

In Syariah law, the rapist will be punished and sentenced NOT the victim. In Malaysia, we have incestuous rape cases as well but we don’t imposed death penalty, the rapist if found guilty will get 20 strokes of the canes and 10 years of prison of each rape (some cases the victim got rape couple of times before they come forward to lodge police report). |

That sounds much better.
And the canes... sometimes I wish they would implement soemthing like that in America! There are some people that prison is too good for and so is death. So beat the shit out of them, then stick them in prison. |

That's not even close to Sharia. At least the article notes that the higher courts are likely to overturn the decision and that the secular government will probably get involved in the matter. If it were an American news source, they probably would have left that part out. |

True, one of our driver's daughter commit suicide on monday becos of forbidden love, she was in love with an indian guy, eventho' they are from the same religion but he is from the lower jat/caste.. its pretty sad but I think its stupid too.. ohh well.. *sighs* |
