Not sure if this is the right place but
[Linkage]
Quote: | Jesse Sullivan from Tennessee in the US is the world's first 'bionic man'.
Called neuro-engineering, the new technology literally connects people to machines.
The four major nerves, which used to go down Jesse's arms, were dissected from his shoulder and transferred on to his chest muscles.
The nerves grew into the muscles, which then allowed him to direct his senses through his own brain impulses. |
Seems like it’s only a matter of time now till we have sweet bionic limbs ala science fiction.

Good read. Thanks Reaps.
It's cool that they are coming up with this stuff now. I can't wait to see it advance. |

Sorry, hehe. Yes, the article is great, but the thread title brought me back to that episode of Family guy where they parody the million dollar man. "We can repair him, make him better, we have the technology (but we don't want to spend alot of money.)" Cut to Peter running down the sidewalk with odd things attached to him (like a bucket for a leg)
Classic..

LOL Terin.
Shanananananana.
Seriously though,
in the far future I wonder if there will be issues of whether a person is more machine than man. I mean yea it's great here he gets to use pseudo arms but down the line do y'all think it could be a problem? |

As long as he is making conscious decisions and the machine isn't helping him think, I think it's cool. Pretty much my moral line is
Cyborg | Borg. (with | being the line)
