Just so I don't get under your skin. The only thing that comes to my mind ATM is improper grammar. Like saying Anyways, anywheres, that is annoying. I don't like how thru is now an accepted version of the word through. (Sorry Hoth, this popped up after reading your post) Money is plural. just like deer, sheep, children, etc.
So anyway, what's your pet peeve?

Hehehe. Yeah, netspeak bothers me as well. So do people who think they're really really good at, say, writing a character bio, and who just -aren't-.

Those bother me, but aside from "u" and "r" all all that jazz, I REALLY hate it when I sit down to watch a movie with some one and they stop paying attention to it. that SEVERLY irks me off, I have no idea why. I mean, something as simple as getting up and getting a coke or something, I get peeved. Sometimes Ill catch myself glancing over at people Im watching movies with to make sure they're paying attention to the movie. Am I a freaky one or what? |

I do the same thing <<
I love watching movies and when I want so show someone something it just bugs me when they aren't paying attention. My friend Jake always falls asleep which drives me insane.
And yes, I must also express my hatred of Netspeakers. It's one thing when people are doing it on purpose to be goofballs, it's another when somebody's serious.

Ok...here's one I talk about constantly!
I can't stand people (be it online or in life) that say something like this...
"Oh yeah I am totally weird. Probably the weirdest person you'll ever meet"
or
"Oh yeah I am the most stubborn person you'll ever meet"
heck...even had a guy tell me last night he had a high IQ...just outta nowhere.
It's been my experience that when a person says stuff like that, it usually is barely true. The person who told me she was weird is very normal, the person who told they were stubborn bends o every thing I've ever asked...and the person who 'has the high IQ' well first off who cares? And second...I tried to test him one day with some standard questions from the SB IQ people and he failed em miserably (weird because he wanted me to test him...basically begged me...then failed...ouch)

Well, not to sound like a broken record, but yeah, I detest most netspeak, I can handle it on occasions. Spelling in general, not even the small words, but if any word is misspelled, I'll correct them in less than a second. As far as movies go, I hate watching them with people that can't wait to find out what happens next, so they ask you, like you know! |
