Hello, everyone. I'm Axel, the newest member of PocketOtaku.

I first heard about PocketOtaku at the booth you guys had at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2004. They told me it was some sort of online role-playing community. I finally signed up for four reasons.

1. The guys at the booth were so hyped up about it, I felt like I'd be breaking their hearts if I didn't sign up.

2. I am currently writing my own original anime, and I'm hoping that taking part in an online RPG using the main character of my story as my avatar will help to inspire me.

3. I felt like I had to do SOMETHING to repay them for all the free candy I ate.

4. The lapel pin was cool.

So, anyway, here I am. I just got the first sketch for my character, and I'm waiting for them to send me the redone version with the changes I requested.

To answer Kiyomi's question, there are five reasons why I haven't posted on the message boards.

1. I've been really, REALLY busy with my job at IHOP.

2. I'm in the middle of Megaman Battle Network 2

3. I'm doing some upgrade work on my PC.

4. I'm trying to finish His and Hers Circumstances

5. I'm a major procrastinator.

However, despite all these snags, I promise that I will try to post as often as possible. But, there's not much I can do until I get my final sketch, so in the meantime, I'm hoping that some of you out there can explain a few things to me. I'd just like to know the basics, like what exactly the community is and what you do, that sort of thing.

Welcome to the forum! Hey....hey had free candy this time? Did you guys have free candy when *I* signed up? Did I miss it?

Axel, is there a specific person you would say influenced you to join more than another? We are trying to figure who brought who to make a PO "family tree".

Welcome! To one newbie from another! I also signed up at AWA and am a major procrastinator as well. Just started posting this week.

It's good to see someone else that uses RP as inspiration for their stories/characters. RP has helped me develop my main character and give him a greater identity. Plus, I've managed to come up with several side characters along the way thanks to it. Very Happy

His and Hers Circumstances you say? I've been trying to fin that for like 2 years T_T i've only seen up to the second DVD and i REALLY need to fin that anime... *hugs*
