I've seen it. I played the first one all the way through, thought it was a really decent game. I was sorta shocked by the utter lack of CGI FMV's, but it seems the company caught on and have since added some to the 2nd game. I have a couple trailers that really show off the clean video sequences that they are able to put out nowadays. The first one had that ONE fmv at the very very end, and given, it was decent, but...that's all? Thoughts about the new game? GO GET THE TRAILER! |

I was like out of the gaming loop when KH1 came around, I heard about it like a week before it came out. As soon as I heard about it I was froving to get my hands on it, and it didn't disappoint me. |

KH was and remains one of my best gaming experiences. I easily claim it as my top PS2 pick of the system. Its easy to learn, fun to play, has replay value, top notch voice acting, and captures the feel os several Disney worlds and character personalities very convincingly. The games only fallicy, and this is negligable, was the easy as hell space flying sequences, but +1 to coolness for the 100% customizable gummi ship.
As far as FMVs go, I grew up in the days before that sort of thing was common place. As such, I don't expect them to enjoy a videogame, they should be used liberally, only when it really enhances the game's story, being as thats all FMVs can do it propell important stort moments forward. Usin in game graphics to portray most story events is cheaper on the company, and I feel its more imerssive as your seeing the same model interacting in sequences as you use to kick serious heartless booty. I was a gigantic fan of the FMVs in KH1, the way they blended singer Utada Hikaru's voice for the movies was brilliant, and I hope that the FMVs used this time around have the same capturing feel the last one did. |

Kingdom Hearts was an excellent action RPG - the flow from battle to adventure was never abrupt. About the only thing I might complain about it is that the Heartless respawn obscenely quickly, and often have several waves to slog through when exploring.
But I agree with Dai. FMV should never be a substitute for good gameplay. Xenosaga could get a little long with the cinematics at times, and that took away some of the gaming experience for me. The two that were in Kingdom Hearts were excellent. |

ok ok ok. So maybe I misspoke a bit. Perhaps it wasn't the general lack of FMV's, but waiting till the very end to get one. Meh, I dunno...I just like to see what a system and company are capable of in that aspect. The FMV's were good, but you had to get through to entire game to get to them. Maybe that was the point? I'm answering my own complaints, but I still am "toddler" enough in my thinking about RPG's to appreciate FMVs now and then. Is that SOOO bad?! |

Heck yea. I had so much fun with my super powered Gummi ship. ^^ I started off making an Arwing then said screw it and bulked it up with tons of lasers and weapons.

Agreed. I hate how people complain about FMVs these days. Personally I think they are pretty but i dont like it when they get overwhelming. *cough Xenosaga Cough* |

I LOVE KH1, even though I am still working on getting through it. LOL. I do that a lot. I get a game, get stuck somewhere, then go play another game until I get stuck in that one. Then I move onto the next one, and I cycle around until I am stuck on about every game I have. Then I decide to just work my way through one of the games until I get stuck on that one again. The cycle goes on and on. Vicious! |

I absolutely loved KH. It was very fun, and just chalenging enough to keep it intresting, but no so challenging that i threw my controler at the screen. I would have to say, the voice acting was most definatly the best of any game I have ever played. i realy loved the battling system, i felt that was the best part about it. I would say overall this is most definatly the best PS2 i have laid my hands on. and the final movie was so frikkin kick ass!! that single movie lead me to beat the final guy about 3 times in a row.
oyeah, and cloud kicked major ass too
Edit: i have been looking around for the trailor for KH2 but i cant find one, can someone gimme a link |

I have loved KH to death, and look forward to the sequal with much anticipation. The acting, levels, and other factors made it enjoyable. The screenshots are also looking very sweet. |
