I just need to share with you this band. Its a progresive metal band, not known much in US 'cuz metal is not in the pop scene, but, this guys RULES !!!!
The band is called Dream Theater. Featuring at the moment some of the greatest musicians in the whole world, not kidding. All of them have a doctorate in music from Berkley and, well they rock !!!!
Guitar - John Petrucci
Drums - Mike Portnoy
Keyboards - Jordan Ruddes
Bass - John Myung
Vocals - James LaBrie
This guys have the most amazing music !!! A lot of oddtime signatures and very melodic grooves.
Also Jordan,John, and Mike made a side project CD called Liquid Tension Experiment. This is Melodic, progresive, instrumental metal. Some great songs in here too...
In my opinnion one of the best bands, and worth d/l at least some songs.

Song: The whole album is like a big song divided in 12 tracks a MUST !!!If you want to take expirience further... GET THE DVD !!!! Scenes from New York, or the Scenes from NY Concert CD ( 3-CDs set)
Album: 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence ( This is a 2 CD set their latest album)
Songs from 1st CD: The Glass Prison, The Great Debate
CD2: Its a 40 min song divided in 8 tracks. A must as well, very awesome song.

Song: A Change of Seasons (Its a 25 min piece of ART !!!)

( They only did 2 CD's cuz now the keyboard of this cd (Jordan Ruddes) joined DT full time, so they stop making CD's)
