Hello again! Axel here!

A while back, I promised you folks a post telling you all about my character's history. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have put this off for quite a while.

Well, it is now 2AM, and I have finally decided to make good on my promise. So, without further ado, here is the story of Axel.

The Story of Axel

Axel is actually the main character of an anime I am writing called Red City.

Red City is the story of a wildy popular virtual reality MMORPG (And before all you .hack fans start screaming "ripoff!", let me finish.)

The game of Red City takes place in the far future, on a mysterious continent called Ordnis Quoll. Red City is the metropolis formed by the many adventurers who came to explore the land, and was named after the crimson meteor that created the continent. Red City is a place where the sorcery of the past and the science of the future combine.

Imagine a modern day metropolis, not unlike New York. Now, imagine looking out your window in the morning and seeing dragons fly by instead of pigeons. Imagine going to school and noticing that the new kid in your class has gray fur, likes raw boar meat, and know the inner working of a plasma rifle. Imagine wizards who use PDAs to keep track of their spells. Imagine a next-door neighbor who was born in the dark depths of the demon world, and is the friendliest bagger at the local grocery store.

That, in a nutshell, the world of the game of Red City.

It is also the world of Axel.

Axel is actually the online alter-ego of Takuya Hoshizaki, a young junior high school student in modern-day Japan.

Takuya is a hardcore gamer, and is always on top of all the news in the gaming world. So naturally, when Red City is released, Takuya is one of the first to snap it up.

As Takuya begins the game, he assumes the role of Axel, the human long-swordsman. In the game's opening campaign, he wins his prized weapon, the Rune Sword of Geltreon.

During his adventures, he makes friends with other players and eventually forms his own party. Among them are Maverick, a bad-ass light gunman from America, Asura, a psychic from India who establishes himself as the brains of the team, and Galiana, a pyromancer who lives in Takuya's neighborhood. (think Karen Kasumi from X, only 10 years old and unbearably cute)

Well, that the bare-bones description of Axel and the world he lives in. If you want more info, I might be tempted to post the first couple chapters of Red City if you ask reeeealy nice.

That's pretty cool, my character's back story is in the crap... i'll remember the name of the thread in a sec... arg.
