"Hah, as if you could keep up with be, old bad. I'm godda leave you two id by dust!" said Jaim lightly, picking himself off the floor and holding his fingers to his nose to staunch the bleeding while he searched the immediate vicinity for one who could heal. His eyes fell on the black-over-white of the elder mage. "Wadda gib be a hadd here, grabps?"

"Walk it off, lad, you'll be fine," Lews Therin barked, "Your destination lies directly east of here. Good luck to you. All three of you."

[Dantrel Rayne]

"You can never leave your shadow 'in the dust' and believe me, I will be that close, always."

The shadows wrapped around, reforming into Rayne's trenchcoat as he walked by the two men that would be with him for the mission.

"Let's go."

He walked out the front door, finding east, and walking in that direction.

With a series of clicks, clanks, and ratchets, the shapeless amalgam of metal on began to fold into itself. Parts slid into place, and bearings sighed to a halt, and the device, now resembling a bent and beaten sword, lay dormant on the floor. Jaim picked it up thoughtfully in one hand, continuing to hold his nose with the other. The air support for the hover module sounded slightly off. He would have to replace it before they left. That, and stop by the medical wing to get his nose taken care of. He wondered if the cute med-student would be there...

He dropped the sword, watching it fall to the ground. A loud whine filled the air, and it slowed to a halt just above ground level. More clicks and wheels as the sword unfolded, and suddenly a metal platform large enough for one man to stand on floated above the ground at Jaim's feet. It looked unsteady, wobbling sporadically in the air. Jaim shrugged, leapt upon it, and blasted out the open doors of the library, heading across campus to the medical wing.

Some time later, he skimmed out of the campus entrance and banked east, flitting above the ground like a low-flying bird of prey. He caught Rayne quickly, and flew a few circles around the older man before leaping gracefully off the board, which rose suddenly into the air and began refolding itself. Jaim landed heavily, and held his hand out in time for the reformed sword to land directly on his palm. It was a trick he had practiced often, in hopes that an opportunity like this would come along.

"Don't bother saying it. I know you wish you were me right now." He said with a grin, loping to catch up with Rayne.

The old mage watched the three leave, then shook his head ruefully and limped back to the sciences lab to attempt to calm his agitated class.

More fliers went up in the three cities. There were still artifacts to be retrieved.
