Legacy of the Frozen North: The Eye of the Yeti

WhiteWind stared Zzyxx down, waiting before nobody was around to begin speaking.

"Tell me what you need so I can send you on your way and out of my hair and away from the Guild."

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx merely grinned.

"All i need is some information on the location of the Eye of the Yeti. After i learn what i need to know i will happily leave this guild and this city, never to return."

Zzyxx crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against a wall.

[Azurel]

WhiteWind scoffed as he heard "Eye of the Yeti," too many a traveller have come searching for that item, and it was getting on WhiteWind's nerves to have to explain to every single one that the Eye of the Yeti does not exist.

"It's merely legend. Go h-"

The idea hit him as he was about to tell the young assassin to go home.

"Go to The Falling Coin tavern, the bar there always has those kinds of stories floating about it, it's a good place for an assassin to gather information about anything."

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"Hmm... i think i will, thanks."

Zzyxx made some rapid hand gestures and Variah ran up beside him, He put his hand on her back, and they both faded into the shadows.

[Azurel]

ooc: -looks around- Uhm, Zzyxx, we're gonna need more of a post for that one. You're in the shadows so we have no way of pushing you forward in the storyline without godmodding ourselves. You actually have to show up somewhere and do something in order for us to continue. As a hint, you don't know where the tavern is.

[Zzyxx]

ooc: My bad

BIC: Zzyxx and variah come out of the shadows in the alley near the guild house. Zzyxx doesn't really trust the assassin, so he starts combing the city for the tavern himself.

[Therin]

As with most port cities, the majority(and rather seedier) of its alcoholic sales occur near or on the docks, where sailors, seabound for the last days, weeks, or months, have come to take their refuge. The tavern which is closer to the boats is closer to the sailors, and will bring a more brisk business. Thus are the docks of Tylan lined from end to end with inns, bars, taverns, and the occasional saloon. Here, any story can be heard or given, from the wildest of fairy tales to the most gruesome of urban legends. If information is sought, rest assured it can be found here on the docks, as long as you know the trick of piecing together fact from fiction, myth from reality.

Zzyxx looked around for a while. He kept to the shadows, a tecnique that would be useless against a trained assassin, but whould keep the commoners attention as well as the attention of the guards off of him. After deliberating for a while, he decided to enter the Jade Flagon. THis smaller tavern was poorly lit, most the shadows cast off by the few lamps gave the tavern an eerie feel. Zzyxx took a seat at the bar.
Zzyxx looked at the bartender and said:

"I would like drink and i have a some questions."

Zzyxx then waited with the cowl of his duster pulled over his head so no one would see his face.

[Therin]

In a tavern during dock rush, even a small one like the Jade Flagon, a man who kept his cloak on and his hood up while inside stuck out like a stray hunk of coal in a field of diamonds.

"We got drink to go round, southerner, but ya gotta tell me which one you want," said the bartender, smirking and gesturing to the alcohol rack behind him.

[Zzyxx]

Zzyxx pulled his hood back, his elven features were sjown prominently as was his pale blue skin, blue hair, and blue eyes.

"I suppose you're right. I'm very particular... just give me the house special. BUt for my question, have you ever heard of the Eye of the Yeti?"

Zzyxx kept checking entrances and exits out of the corners of his eyes, just to be safe.
