Man, why is everybody hatin' on Fifty? Snoop's been in games killin' people and it's ok. Hell, even Carmine Elektra's been in games scoring touchdowns AND throwing people out of windows and it's ok. Now Fifty gets his own game made and everyone dogs him. What'd you expect...a Tetris clone?
If he was a hidden character in San Andreas, would you say you weren't going to buy it for that?
I'm not saying I'm going to run out and buy it or that it'll set the world on it's edge but what's the difference in Fifty making a game and Vin Diesel or Marc Ecko making a game?
I'm scared to hear the real answer behind this. |

Well Razer, my issue is that he just stared and thinks he's a big shot. Like most of the "gangsta" rap artist, which is one of the many reasons (no offense to those who like it) that I don't like that stuff.
For the record, Snoops game is not named after him ... at least I don't think it is.
I do not own San Andreas
Fifty was appearently offered the lead role for San Andreas and turned it down. Big mistake!
I wouldn't have a problem if he didn't bring out a game that stared him! If he played another character like he could have in San Andreas... then no problem
But the ego is just a little large when you turn down the game of the year b/c you want your name on the cover.

i agree with shino here, its not so much who he is, or what he does. its how he acts, how did he shake up the rap market? sure eminem could say that, as he was the first white guy to be as successful as the likes of dre, sure alot of people said he wouldnt of made it without dre, same goes for 50cent, dre and eminem discovered him, and you NEVER hear him mention them when hes bigging himself up |

oooh kinda like Ashlee Simpson (God I can't stand her)....anyway
I agree here as well...til now I've never heard of Half Dollar...or whatever...
Now I admit I haven't really listened to rap since the early 90's but if some big guy does somehting new...even I will hear about it all the way back in the 80's...It's amazing how little it takes to be an artist nowadays

Also I hate all games with Snoop in them..IE Dead to Rights.
I hate snoop with a passion and I hate Fiddy Scents, and Two Pack McClure like I hate dog crap on the bottom of my shoe. Least dog crap eventually stops polluting the air but rap continues polluting the airwaves. |

Well actually 50 has been around for a looong time. He had a feud with Jay Z like five years ago but he never had the commercial success he has now. I've never read about the San Andreas thing but I did read about the game and seeing as how it's more connected with DJ Pooh and his clique I can't see where 50 would have fit in at all. Of course they may not have written everything.
As for him shaking up the rap game, he did in the most important way...sales. Right now Dre's stable (which includes 50 and G-Unit) is the hottest property on the market of any music genre so where it counts to corporate America, 50 is The Man (beneath Dre). Now when 50 leaves Dre we can judge him on his merits but as far as a videogame...who cares? That's like ripping a movie license or TV show. If it's hot, it's gonna get a game nowadays. That's where the money is.
You can't not listen to rap and then make searing social commentaries on it. If you don't like 50 (and I'm not really campaigning for him as Man of the Year or anything) then you don't like him but to say he's going to be the human equivalent of the ET game and cause the downfall of creation because he's getting a videogame is kinda steep. |
