ok I can see cases where Zero tolerance is necessary.. but this is taking it a bit too far...

http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20050318135809990003&_ccc=3&cid=842

shes only 5 years old..
I would have just called her mother or sat her in time out untill she calmed down.. but arresting her.. dude..thats one major time out.

arresting her is going wayyyy too far, but this doesn't exactly sound like a normal, healthy, happy five year old from what i gathered from the article. i mean, aggression is one of the results of frustration, but that little girl is not right in the head, attacking as many people as she did. she sounds like she needs some sort of behavioral therapy, not an arrest, but i bet her parents have never disciplined her or told her "no" either, so chances are they're to blame as well. why are people so afraid to discipline their kids? it's friggin ridiculous

Because these days most parents are afraid they will be reported if their dicipline is not acceptable in the eyes of "watchful" people. These days it's hard to say what is good or not in terms of the mass social group. Though I do know some people who are afraid to discipline their kids because they don't want them to be taken away.

we are seeing more and more things like this these days it seems.

Parents don't disapline their children just like you guys are saying. That's pretty much what causes it.

and I love what the mother said. Taking her out of the school and calling her attorney? "They set my baby up" Oh that's rich lady.

People suck

Thats nothing, not to long ago they used a tazer on a 5 or 6(forgot the exact age) year old kid in a BD class. Yeah the kids out of control, but you dont use a tazer on them.

This is just another example of stupidity.

I think they had every right to. The kids being a fucker they get fucked over...Simple rule in life.

Since the tree hugging hippy crowd said punishing children "Stifles their growth" you can't discipline them anymore.

I say strap tazers to ever kids chair and shock em if they talk out of turn.

I also believe at the age of 5 all children should be taken away from their parents and shipped to Military school. Seeing as we have proven time and again parents can't raise their kids this is the only course available.

Also no black or mexican kids can later say, "Duh I didn get dat job cause my skoo wasn't like da white mans." If everyone's childhood is equal you can't complain later when you're a complete fuckhead.

That's funny that reminds me of a VG cats comic:

... hmm I sounds like ''déjà-vu'' to me.

Odd.

For once in a blue moon, I'm on GAAZ's side (insert blue screen error here!) Now the kid knows what's gonna happen if she behaves badly in life.

Harsh, but effective.

Agreed, but ... is it really effective? We'll see in 15 years.

Cause honostly, it's not like we can say ''o yeah, our researches show that, from ALL THE 5 YEARS OLD we handcuffed, 95% of them became good-behaving citizen of our sociaty!''

Nuts
