Someone fuzzy needs your support.

Allo folks. As most of you know, Ming and I have a pet ferret, which im sure you are all familiar with, who is named Hobbes, and is sometimes associated as "Ferret of the Apocalypse", or some other really cute name.

Well, as of last week, we took him to the vet to get a checkup, cause he was acting strange. This being his first checkup for the (near) 6 years we've had him, the doctor was astounded by his sound physical health. Unfortunately, the little fuzzball has minor heart disease. This being said, he's now on ferret medicine, and is beginning to show some improvement, but he will most likely be on his heart medicine now for the rest of his life.

Like i said, he's starting to show improvement, but i figured it would be a thing to let you guys know, since he is an important memeber of the family.

dude, i can only hope this keeps him ticking for the rest of his expected life, chinch scares me sometimes, especially when its hot, by laying on his side and playing dead.

What Tobs did not tell you is that yesterday we had an incident with Hobbes. I came downstairs, only to find him unresponsive and pretty much limp. I took him out of his cage and placed him down on a chair, and he would just lie there. He WAS breathing, however, and he would raise his head every now and then. Fearing the worst, my dad and I rushed him to the vet for an emergency appointment.

Thankfully, the doctor came out and told us that he was doing fine, and that he had had a low blood sugar episode, which could have caused a minor seizure, etc (which could explain why he was drooling on me the whole way to the vet...). They asked us to leave him overnight, which we did...and last night was one of the most restless nights I have had in a long while. However, Tobs called the vet this morning to see how he was doing, and they said that he was doing just fine, and that we can come pick him up whenever, which is what I'm about to go do now.

I just wanted to say thank you, however, to everyone who offered their support. I know it's kinda silly, but Hobbes really is a member of the family, complete with his own personality and all, and I speak for Tobs as well when I say that we appreciate everyone's concern.

thank you everybody. Hobbes is right now sleeping, like he does most times, but he seems a bit out of it. I'll update you guys on anything else that goes on with teh little fuzzy tube-sock with teeth. But hes getting better, which is the prime concern.
