I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, so please feel free to move it to a more appropriate location.
At any rate, the other day I had a burst of creative inspriaton. I would like to create a documentary (of what I would rather not say at this point...), but I have no idea how to go about it, what I would need to do, etc.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and/or have any resources that they know of to point me in the right direction?
Thanks! |

What editing software are you working with?
Windows Movie Maker comes included with XP and it's pretty simple and easy to use but it's pretty flimsy sometimes with importing files. You might have to play with files, converting them to different formats or just changing file extensions. |

Well making amateur films in hs before I have learned this much. As long as you have credible resources there is no real wrong way to go about it. It helps if you have people to interview, books, and the history of what you want to make the docum. out of. So if the net is giving you a hard time the next best place is the library. Not all may be necessary, but it's good to cover all bases.
Next comes of course a decent camera and even moreso, a decent camera man. That can pretty much make or break to overall presentation so pick your crew wisely.
Also once you have things in order make a schedule to operate by. It gives the crew a bit more inspiration to do things right hehe.
So what is the subject of the documentary? |
