Ok, I haven't been fallowing the megaman serie for a while, in fact, I lost count of the serie after Megaman IV on NES ... then I played Megaman X (or X3 or 5 or 7, I can't tell X_x) and I sucked big time at the game, so I said that it wasn't worth it since I didn't have the skills nor the nerves to take on megaman games anymore -_-. But now comes Megaman Zero! that game is just sooo perfect! Even tho you never played any megaman games you'll fairly understand the background story that is attactch to it! (it's happening 100 years after some kind of conflict, at the end of megamanX I think) It's so ... it's just ..., god go rent it! And trust me, the graphics are much better on the screen then anywhere in review sites on the net, the animations are just too nice!!! |

ok, now if you went down here, it's cause your a bit curious, or vewy stupid, :baaaa:
After 2 hours of gaming, I cleared a few levels and I realize that man, do I even need a gun in this game!? So many moves to learn with the sword! The last level I tried to clear was a frontline assault on enemy troops! You start with rebels and you run in the pack of enemies! That's too awesome cause there's a shitload of enemies coming your way! And the coolest way to dig your way to the boss is with the sword, man that has stylish, I tried to clear it with the gun but, the enemies comes faster then they die so I really have to always run toward the other end of the screen (that part really reminds me of Metal Slug) It's easy with a sword but, when you get to the boss, after 8 death in less then 30 seconds, I figured out that my swordplay was poo against him (that's a guy with some sort of bazooka -_-) I know that he'd be easier to beat then that last "Harpui 2 blade lady" bot I just defeated but I'm tired, and just to get trough the level a second timen takes all my energy away before I even started X_x.
So huh yeah, the point is, the gun is almost totally useless only now, I realised that I STILL need it and that it is amazingly efficient against that boss (and an other one too, well, while your reading this, you expect spoilers so I'll tell ya anyway, the other easy boss to defeat with the gun is the train, yup, a train). I think my eyes are ready for some more action!
*grabs GBA
To battle!!!!

I'm glad you can control Zero now. When I first played megaMan X, I would have prefererd to use Zero all the time instead! Glad the sides have changed now. I also happen to LOVE the character design. Zero's light suit at least gives more realism to his running spree (really, how could they even MOVE in the earlier MegaMan games? Did you see those BOOTS they were wearing?!) |

w00t! Yeah, as a huuge fan of the Megaman series, I can definately say that Megaman Zero is one hardcore (and hard) game
Y'know what the best part is that I didn't figure out till later? The game actually adjusts itself to be harder or easier depending on how well you do, level-wise. For example, the first time I played thru the first level, I just went straight to the falcon boss without bothering to level up. He was doing some pretty basic moves, but I didn't know his pattern too well and ended up dying. Second time thru the level, I decided to level up in the rainy part with the x-clone guys for a while. Got to 3 or 4 on my sabre and went to the boss. This time he started pulling out all these insane and crazy moves on me! But thankfully I won, barely. It was quite the epic battle. Whee!
..now I just have to buy the game. ah the curse of little money and easily-accessable roms.. that, and castlevania: harmony of dissonance |
