Ick! Just don't do the AOL/Compuserve thing e.e
Earthlink (in my experience) has been pretty good for Dial up.
Once you go High-Speed, it's very painful to go back..

Honestly the AOL Dial up service was the most horrible experience I ever had with the internet. I didn't even know it was horrible though till I'd tried something else. After that I kind of "woke up" to how shoddy the service is. If at all possible you could drag your Dad to Bestbuy or somewhere that has High Speed internet demonstrations, that's what sold my Dad on going high speed. It's just impressive how much faster it is and if anyone knows my Dad, he's about the stubbornest person you'd ever meet. |
