This is the website for Pandora, which has something to do with something called the Music Genome Project: http://www.pandora.com/
Basically, you input a song or artist that you like, and it searches its database and finds other songs and artists that it thinks you would statistically like based on elements within the song or attributes of the artist. It's really quite amazing...AND you can listen to all the songs that it gives you, so you can use it like your own internet radio! |

Doot - I'm glad you like this. When I first saw this, I was amazed at how...well...amazing it is.
I was playing with it last night, and I noticed something else that I forgot to mention. When it plays you songs that it thinks you want to hear based on what you told it you want to hear, it lets you rate the song if you want. If you don't like the song or don't think it's a correct fit for what you want to hear, you tell it and it won't play that song anymore. I think it probably saves the information and considers all the input that users give it when it chooses songs, so theoretically, this should eventually be a perfect tool for finding what you want to hear. |

This is an interesting tool. Although it can probably use some expansion (like all good tools should) as more and more people interact with it, but it should be very interesting. I'll play with it more and see if it can tune itself into my likes. |

I've always had bad experiences with these programs. And they never seem to play what I want...Maybe I'll give it a go. I'm just too selective. Doot listens to everything cause she's insane or something. I just have refined tastes. |

I just discovered something new....after a while, they will eventually ask you to register an account with them. The good news is that it doesn't cost you anything, so I guess it's a good use for those alternate e-mail addresses.
