Dueling Directors Project

Recently I was at Blockbuster.. it has been so long since i rented any movies.. so i decided that i was gonna go find me a intresting looking japanese movie to rent.. after pilfuring thru the small selection i finally decided on a movie that looked promising.. a movie called 2LDK (2 bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen) its a film by Yukihiko Tsutsumi, and it only has two actresses in it (two incrediably gorgous japanese woman.. oh and a parrot.. so technically its got like two and half actressses for the cast lol.. cuz its a female parrot) anyway its part of this thing called Duel Project.. Director Tsutsumi came up with the Idea and proposed it to Mr. Ryuhei Kitamuri (the guy who directed Versus).. so they set up guide lines.. two actors, facing off on one set, and it had to be filmed in only seven days (and i assume with a set budget, they never really said anything about that)

so the first product of this duel where the two films 2LDK by Director Tsutsumi and Aragami by Director Kitamuri (who looks really creepy btw.. but maybe thats just me)

2LDK is a film about two aspiring tokyo actresses sharing a bad ass two bed room apartment, they don't really like each other as becomes evident early on, there are essentially two parts to this film.. the first part being some interaction between the two actresses where they speak to each other and we get to hear what they are really thinking, they say something and immediately afterwards you hear what they are really thinking.. eventually the tension builds between them.. it starts over small things and it escalates to extreme violence.. which is the second half of the movie.. them two just beating the ever loving fuck out of one another.. its actually kind of horrifing to see two (incrediablly beautiful) woman beat each other so badly.. like for realz.. i never even seen two dudes fight so hard.. and it ends very sadly.. but by the time you get there you kind knew this was gonna happen anyway.. the intresting thing about it tho is that they use only household objects to beat each other senselessly (with a few small exceptions).. anyway i really enjoyed this movie.. its really fucked up.. but maybe thats why i liked it so much

Aragami.. I have yet to see this one yet.. but i do know that it is about a dieing samurai inside an old temple.. he dies and then wakes up to find himself fully healed and accompanyed by an old man.. the old man revels himself to be Aragami, a raging god of battle, who is immortal.. he has grown tired of living and request for this samurai to kill him.. but being an immortal bad ass of couse he has to fight him to the death.. and thats about all i know about it.. but it sounds cool and its a Kitamuri film.. so im sure i would enjoy it

so yeah.. i just wanted to share this with you all because i think the idea of dueling directors is fuckin bad ass ^_^ ..anyway i have been typing for a while and lost my train of thought.. so im just gonna stop now.. i will edit this when i have finally seen Aragami and can give my opinions on it and declare the winner.. atleats IMO
