I think Miyazaki has finally outdone himself.
I mean wow, just wow.
This movie is based off of the book "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones, a quite-famous British fantasy author (I recommend all of her books). I read this book many years ago, and am now in the process of re-reading it after seeing Miyazaki's take on it.
I mean wow. I saw the movie 3 or 4 days ago at a friend's house, and I'm still in awe. All-star voice cast (naturally) of Jean Simmons, Christian Bale (Batman Begins), Lauren Bacall, Emily Mortimer, etc. Christian Bale plays the part of Howl, an incredibly charming wizard with some...troubles. And ego issues.  Then there's Sophie, a troubled teen who's played by Simmons and Mortimer, because she, well, changes a bit in the movie. But that's enough about the voices. I couldn't have asked for better scenery for one of my favorite books as a middle-schooler. All you could expect from Miyasaki. And Howl's eyes! You'll just have to see it for yourself.
Truly magical...and since my review isn't very good, partly because I'm still stumbling over myself, here.

I think they are ganna be showing it on TCM one of thies thursdays, i'll probably try and scope it then, cause i have wanted to see it since it was in theaters |

We went and saw it and I did like it for the most part. Some of the ending was a bit choppy and almost sounded like Lucas wrote it. 
I agree though that the scenery and art was fantastic and beautiful. |

Saw it in the theaters - other than the ending, pretty well done. If you do see it, thoug, be ready to devote your full attention to it or you might miss something. Also, there's not much in the way of explanations forthcoming, so you'll have to work it out by yourself. |

On Attack of the Show yesterday, Chris Gore said Howl's Moving Castle was "Among the worst of anime."
The reasons he gave were pretty stupid though, so I call bs. The movie looks great to me. |

Someone on Attack of the Show panning anime is about as credible as a GameSpot preview. Then again, this is G4 we're talking about - the channel still giving out "cheats" for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater.
[EDIT: Gyah, I keep forgetting to mention things.]
Saw Howl last night with some buddies. New mental note: If you haven't slept in 29 hours, do not under any circumstances lay down comfortably on the couch while watching movies. Thankfully, I only missed about ten to twenty minutes of the movie, but still...*cries* |
