"I beleive between you, me, Rayne and that stag girl, AkaNari we could possibly resolve the orc problem. I have a great spell that could whipe their camp off the face of the map but I'll need someone with some sort of barrier magic to protect me otherwise I'll end up going with it. Then the 4 of us can go out hunting for whats left."

You underestimate the orcs. These ones aren't run of the mill, but really that is the beside the point. The simple trueth is that when a people become defensive an paranoid like htese ones have, the disappearance of one enemy only spawns another in their eyes.

"You have a valid point..." BlackMage said kinda trailing off. Then out of nowhere BM said jokingly "Or we could just destory this village and have one less village to worry about" then he let out a loud laugh.

BlackMage stood there watching out the window and thought to himself. As far as he could recall he'd never been called "good mage" or well good anything for that matter.

The next morning came much like any morning comes. The sun rose, it reflected off the fresh snow that had fallen the night before. Smoke rose from chimneys in the houses that hadden't been burnt down durring the war. THe people rose from their collective slumber and a new day began. Just as it had before, just as it always would.
Amazing how a town can still fall into rutine after losing it's innocence. Crime rate hasn't gone up, in fact only the millitary build up is new. That is great pity.

Rayne didn't particularly like the snow, for little reason other than it was annoying to walk through. He was already in the village by the time the two awoke because he would like to take a look at the village's wares before there were too many people in the marketplace. As he walked, the snow before him turned black as if someone had put a giant drop of food coloring on it. The black snow would writhe and grow like the roots of a tree. As it grew, the snow would melt quickly, quickly enough that when Rayne took a step, there was nothing but water and mud to meet his feet.
