I've been reluctant to post this b/c ... well ... sometimes it seems like I'm imposing. I feel like one of those telemarketers or one of those magazine sellers that go door to door and interrupt your dinner.
Please believe me when I say that this is not at all my intension
But something happened that made me change my mind. So now I'm posting.
Not many of you know him very well. His PO's name is Mister Sparkle. He's been on here a couple of times. His name is Christopher Prue and I've known him for almost 16 years. He's one of the most caring and understanding people I know. There are few people in this world I trust as much as Chris. He's always been a great friend to me.
He suffered a tremendous loss over this past weekend.
His mother lost her battle to lung cancer.
It's very hard for me to even think about without tearing up. She was a part of all of Chris' friends' lives.
I remember in 10th grade, Chris and I, along with our friend Tim, all took a "zero period" class. And our moms would switch of who drove us to school since we had to be there so early.
She was and always will be an amazing woman.
Because of this event, I'm asking for your help.
Once again, a number of POs and I are supporting the American Cancer Society and participating in this years Relay for Life in Alpharetta, GA.

Cancer has touched all of us some how. My father was taken b/c of it. Skibirdi fought it and won. And now, one of my best friends, has also had to feel this pain with the loss of his mother.
When and where does it stop? Well, it's possible that it could stop in my life time. Sorry if I'm imposing, but I will do anything I can to help that to happen.

I'll hit you up when I have moneys for a donation, other than that I'm not sure if I'll even have time to participate this year due to full time work and full time school. Hell I'm not sure if I'll be sane by the end of the 1st quarter. |

It doesn't matter how much, any amount helps and shows that you support us in what we are doing.
And I know you are going through a lot too. I want you to know I'm hear if you want to talk about it.

I'm afraid I won't be able to attend as I am 1200 miles away. However, I will definetly donate. You are in no way imposing Shino. In some way everyones life is affected by cancer. I'm happy to do what little I can. Akila and I are proud to lend our support. |

ITs not quite the same but myself and Chixie are planning to do the local SWim for Life in support of cancer research as her grandma died of spinal cancer and my mum had an historectomy when i was quite young to remove cancer in her womb (because of which all the women in my family have to have more smear tests a year than normal), so while I wont be supporting your own personal charity help, I will be doing a spot of my own, Rachael will also be taking part as we are teaching her to swim  |

Riva, that's even better than donating, b/c you are giving your time to help and volenteer. It's a very honorable thing. I don't care how it happens. I just want this disease to be gone! |
