Finally broke down.. (360 related)

I had a chance to get a nice 360 bundle (preowned), so I went for it. I was holding onto some cash to do more PC upgrades, but I'm tired of putting hundreds a year into my machine just to keep it current enough to play all the new games maxed out.

So I caved. It should be here on Monday or Tuesday.

I got a used 360 Premium in like new condition, so in a way I didn't actually give Microsoft a sale on their console. I'm a little TO'ed that it's still difficult to find a new Premium pack in stores.. it's ridiculous that they're still obscure in the middle of March.

Anyway, I got the Premium box, an extra Wireless Controller, a Play & Charge Kit, a WiFi adaptor, a 1 year EB warranty, 4 Xbox 360 games, 2 Xbox 1 games, and a bunch of marketplace downloads like Geometry Wars and whatnot. I should have Project Gotham 3 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter here next week or so.

So I've joined the one other person here who has a 360.. we should form a club. Laughing

I will tell you, Ghost Recon is an amazing experience. You will enjoy it.

I just wish I had more time to play the games. My gamerscore is still pretty low (still below 1000).

Hey, as long as you're (going to be) loving your system, that's what's important. I'll admit straight out I don't own an XB and don't plan on getting a 360 but that's my taste. I wouldn't tell anyone not to get one or down them. I have a friend that bought a bigger package than on launch day (cost him $1200 or so total). I wouldn't go that far but then again, I am mucho cheapo.

I -want- one, but there just aren't any appealing games to -me- right now.
Hopefully I'll pick one up down the line. One of the things that's always appealed to me was the idea of Gamertags and Xbox live. I just never got around to buying an Xbox because every game I wanted was completely bastardized (ToeJam and Earl 3) or just wasn't enough on it's own to warrant a purchase.

Xbox Live is even better when you move up to a 360 Gold account. I just got my system in the mail today and finished setting it up. I wish I had more time to play with it, but I have class in an hour. Sad

GRAW should be here Wednesday, I am looking forward to playing that online. PGR3, Blazing Angels and Full Auto are also looking like must-buys within the next month.

Now I'm just trying to decide whether to get Oblivion for my PC or 360..

BTW, Rune.. you on Live still? We need to send invites. My tag is Wardog 360.

At Toys R Us, they're holding all their 360's til April 2. Apparently there's going to be a sale or bundle on them.
