Apparently through this method you can be able to run windows XP natively on your apple. Pretty groovy if I do say so. Especially with the popularity of Apple increasing.

Well therein lies the curiosity, since thats only been the case for PC's specifically meant for windows. Who knows exactly if that will happen to the Mac or not based on entirely different hardware. Although i'm not the computer expert so it's just speculation, though if that really is the case odds are apple will write it off. |

Not writing it off - Leopard's going to have the finalized version of this. So now you can dual boot your Mac. It's a smart move by Apple, because it'll mean that people who are on PCs because of x application but would rather run MacOS are much more likely to switch over and just have a tiny XP partition for that. Game-players can go over to Macs now, too, and just boot to XP when they want to play.
It's a really smart thing for Apple to do, and since people were going to do it anyway, Apple's being smart in developing an official way to do it, just so they can be sure it gets done right. |

I, for one, am very excited about this. I like using Macs for video editing and photoediting. However, I am Windows person by heart for the fact that the Mac versions of 3D software are not very good (sure...there is a Maya for Macs, but it isn't as supported as much as the Windows version) and I am too much of a gamer to give those up.
To me, it is the best of both worlds. Granted, I will not have the most amazing computer to play games (though the more expensive iMac can be upgraded to a point where it will last about 4 years...or at least I hope), but to keep the games and the 3D software, yet have the Mac functionability...how can one lose?
And to be fair, Shino...Macs can crash as much as Windows do. At least with my experiences with both of them. |

Macs and PC both use a very flawed component, the user. |

Yup. The Intel chip in a Mac will do that to you. |

I agree completely and whole-heartedly. Now that Macs can duel-load, I really, REALLY want to get one. They just need to make a tablet mac, and everything would be perfect |
