ok, all i have to sayis, well, Bnet SUCKZORS...MAJORLY
i had an account on USWest for D2, where i had a lvl 47 barb on HC that had completed the whole game. Now u wonder why i hate bnet? I went into the loveable cow level to lvl up my barb another 2 or 3 levels, only to lag...which led to 3 cows coming over to me...and owzering me. Now if u play sc (soft core) u would just shrug it off, and go get ur body, but in hc (hardcore) lag is evil...cause if you die, then you cannot get your character back. Your body stays in the game, and your character stats get completely erased, along with your character. Basically, when this happens, the only thing that character can do is just talk on the chatrooms, and be deleted...CAUSE U CANT PLAY WITH HIM ANYMORE!! So as you can see, this barb that i worked kind of hard for, got erased because of stupid BNET and its laggy problems. So im right now in major hate of Bnet.

This is why I NEVER, EVER play HC characters. The net's too unreliable for that. |

Don't blame BNet. You know very well what the consequences of playing a HC character are. And you've played SC characters before you played HC, so you knew how laggy BNet could be. You have to be prepared for the fact that you may lose your character. Just be thankful that BNet doesn't charge you to play online, like those other MMORPGS like Everquest and Ultima do. |

i guess ur right, but im so pissed at that, cause that character was doing soooo good, and because of lag, he ended up dying, when he well off shouldnt of died!
oh well, thats enough ranting from me

I think you have a very valid complaint, Tobias. The people at BNet are offering you a service. True, that service is free and that is very nice of them to do so, but it's still a service none the less. Through flaws in their service you are no longer getting a service that they said would provide. You have every right to be upset. Its their job to make sure that things like this don't happen, but it happened anyway. That's not right.

I hear what u are saying Gryph, but in Bnets case, they lag a little tooo much in their games. And i mean like REALLY LAG.
For those of you who are not familiar with DiabloII, there is a term called a "black wall", where Bnet gets soooo laggy, that the level gets chopped off because of the time that the game is attempting to load. These things happen WAY too much, and they shouldn't, cause if the game was run by a fairly more decent service, these black walls wouldnt happen. And to make it even worse, being in a black wall will usualy be the end of your character, and end up killlng you. So as you can see, the net does lag a lot in some games, but Bnet just lags too much, and it should not, because god knows that they probably have the funds to make it the most high tec and most powerful server known to GOD.

I never did play that. u_u;
on topic: i play Starcraft on Bnet all the time, and know how annoying lag can be. u_u\ shame, but with so many people logged in, its difficult to avoid. |

I'm not saying that you should be upset because of lag. I'm saying that you should be upset that they haven't had the forethought to keep something like a character getting THAT messed up from lag, which they KNOW is going to happen! That's just plain STUPID!
