As corny as it might sound and as much as you probably won't believe me I am totally and completely sure that my purpose in life is to help people when they need it, be there for them when they need someone. That's kinda why I'm a singer. By singing and performing I can bring joy to people in a deep, emotional way, and that's perfect for me.

I have a problem that you might be able to help me with.

Next Wed. is mine and my Gf's six moth anniversary. The problem is that I only have a twenty dollar budget and on top of that the two of us are going to be very busy that week.
I don't know what I should do.
Any suggestions???

Okay! Well, since you two have been going out for a while I'd guess you guys have a good relationship. Now, six month aniverseries are kinda tricky. It's kinda like a cross roads. I guess the real question is where do you want the relationship to go? If you're going for something long term, something meaningful, then I bet that you two could go out, get some food and watch the sunset and that'd be fine. Or, if you're going to impress then there's always the classic asking your friends for money trick and then taking her to a nice place and all that jazz. What I'd say, though, is that aniverseries aren't about nice restaurants or presents, they're about spending good time with your significant other, talking and having fun, you know? It's about expressing love in it's most real forms, not about impressing the other person. Though it never hurts, either.
Anyway, if she's a girl you want to spend another six months with then I'd bet that as long as you spend some quality time with her then it won't matter what you do.

I remember somthing that boyfriend of mind did once...and it was so uncanny, but, I'll never forget it, because it was so sweet.

...He brought me to this place where we could watch the sunset. It was the top of a building downtown Birmingham (Alabama) ...and he pulled out two bags. ... I'll never forget this part for sure: It was burger king. But it still seemed so sweet, because he gave me flowers (he had picked himself, mind. Those, to me, are the best. ) and just tried really hard. ...And it's like this. What he did wasn't a huge thing...but...I could tell that he loved me, and that he loved me enough to take all that time to plan it out and make it perfect.

So, see? Ya dun need lots of money...Just a plan. And if you need any help with ideas, I'm here, as well as Sperrit.

i need a job, but i dont have a college degree (due to reasons). i need a job that has benefits *insurance like: dential, doctor, car* what kind of job can an avarge joe like me get without saying "Welcome to McDonalds, can i kill your order"??

Thank you Sperrit and Katana.
Your advice has been very helpful. Now all I need to do is find the time to do something. Because as far as our schedules are so far we both have our week booked tight with only a few minutes between activities. Now I can cancel almost anything that I have plaaned but she is involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities that she has to go to. Do either of you have any advice for me on what I could do about our lack of time?

First: Arcanine, there are lots of jobs that require no experience that aren't in the fast food industry. Groundskeeping, delivery services (UPS has great benefits) and retail. I'd suggest looking in the Help wanted section of the paper and keeping your eye out for Help Wanted signs in windows and such. Make sure you get a good resume together and make a lot of copies (you're gonna run through them, FAST). The main thing you have to remember is to keep hope and never give up. You aren't going to get a job right off, I'll tell you that, but if you keep at it you will eventually. Keep the faith, man, and if you need any help I'm here for you.

Second: Chuck, the idea is that you spend quality time with your girlfriend. So if she isn't into giving up any of her activities and you can't make any real time till the weekend then that's okay. Don't force her into giving something up, because it seems like, if she's that busy, she's stressed out enough and she'll appreciate your understanding of her schedule. So, make some time this weekend with her, some good quality time, and in the mean time make sure that you recognize the day itself with a small, but meaningful gesture (flowers are traditional, but if you can think of something more personally meaningful then do it!). This way you can show her that even though you aren't celebrating on the actual day it still means a lot to you.
