I will be the first to admit that I am pleasantly surprised at the 6-2 record The Giants have posted and the way they are controlling games (albeit with some really boneheaded mistakes plaguing them). After I looked at the killer start the NFL threw at them (Indy and Seattle, arguably the two best teams in the league, in the first three games? DAMN!) I was afraid that if they lost those two (and they did) that might break them and really damage the rest of the season. It brings to mind how they lost a heartbreaker to St Louis a few years back and never recovered, tanking the entire rest of the season. However, they have won the games they are supposed to win and showed that they do have a focus on the rest of the season. Now as a Giant fan I have to say that they SHOULD have won that Indy game and would have if the ref weren't a Peyton fan...but it's all history now. Plaxico Burress also contributed enough mental mistakes in that game and the Seattle game (and the wins also) to force the loss.
Still, it's looking rather good the rest of the way and I do believe they are the cream of the division easily. I'm not sure I agree with the recent "Indy/New York" Super Bowl predictions (so says ESPN's Sean Salisbury for one) but it's not that far of a reach. I just don't know if a Playoff Mode Peyton is what I want to see them facing. Of course Peyton still has to get past New England and The Brady Bunch first.

YES! I'm excited too.
NY Giants are my #2 Team. Second only to the Broncos.
So to see both of my teams off to a 6-2 start! I'm very happy!
