I'd have to agree with Tobias. I don't really think that there's ANYONE that pathetic. If anything, the only reason people are precieved that way is because other people just don't get them. That's what I like about highschool: There's almost ALWAYS one or two people who you can be best buds with and not have to worry about what they think or anything. There's always someone you have common interests with and always someone who can be your friend.

also on patheticness, the pathetic kid usually looks at the jocks who have no brains and say, at least ill get somewhere... trust me, i am that kid in many cases. |

i know i will, the jocks at my school all think that they will get into professional hockey (or any sport for that matter). Little do they realize that the 3 or 4 people who have gone to my high school and made it to pro's in the last 60 years (when my school was started) were all god-like in their respective sports. i on the other hand actually have useful skills. |

Anyway, you're right. It's usually the people who aren't all into the surface elements of high school (jocks, preps, cheerleaders... or at least the worst of those elements, since I've met many who qualify as one of those but are good people) who make it in the world later.

then there is that other form of person...which ming has clearly defined, and my school is filled with: Over Acheivers. These are the guys and gals that manage a 3.5 - 4.0 average, do any sport they can in every season, and also are part of more than one club...these people are crazy...thats all i have tos ay |

Just because I had an overall 3.6 average for all highschool, got a 1390 on my SAT and I did a sport for every season and I was in the yo-yo club, the anime club, and all the music activities and some drama ones too.... THAT DOESN'T MEAN I'M AN OVER ACHEIVER!

heh... im the lazy smart kid... advanced classes... honors next year (no honors this year cus i didnt do homework as a frosh) and a whopping 2.9 GPA??? i did get like 85 percentile on PSATs (this was measured against juniors)... the overachievers i dont like. they need a life. and friends. plural, more than one. |

They do. They just have friends that do the same things that they do. Unless they're the ultraoveracheivers who don't EVER stop. Then, no, they don't. But they certainly have a life.
Of course, there's always the overacheivers who are just bastdids. But there are bastdids in every group. Even the dorks and nerd. Can't be helped.
