Look, it's so far a great blend of DND and WoW. the massive personalization is great. The ability to make and do all these things are great.
But...but...just like every other MMO if you are gonna go after the big stuff you must understand you can't do it alone. Power in numbers is key in everything. Every RPG is based of groups of monster slayers. You have to have them. Now, if your not gonna go after the big stuff you got no worries. And from the looks of things you can make a nice living in the game with minimal need for groups. But ofcourse the real selling point of any MMO is the ability to play with friends. I hope to see alot of you on.

Dont get me wrong, I love grouping. I love playing with other people, and making new friends. I'm not the anti-social bastard that Dai is :p j/k. But that is the one thing that really singled WoW out from the rest. The fact that you could max your character out. From 1 to 70 now, go PVP for gear good enough to walk among the best. Or you could devote your time to an important profession, and sell your services to a high end guild in trade for good gear. I know it doesnt sound exciting, but I know several people who ended up with full Teir 2 epics without having to do much more than farm herbs and make a shit tone of potions.
Back to what I was saying. From what I have read and heard from several people thinking about switching, the game is great, but in later levels it does focus on groups a lot more. And for certain people thats a real heavy negative. |

k, but again do you really wanna have to farm for gear? Is that what it comes down too? In WoW you need gear to bump stats. So far I have seen any indication as to that being the case in Vanguard. And that makes me happy. Will it be like all the others where you pick a class and race and specific Atts to increase to max you character...ya people will do that. But I'm hoping with all the diversity of interests in the game, building a house, ships, trading across continents...gear won't be the end goal of the game. Just a hope. Also, looking for members to join TURks Inc. If anyone is interested drop me a line.

i've decided that i um... shouldn't be a caster class sooo... imma make a warrior on Woefeather. I will look you up. 
Also the leveling system seems to be open. sure you get stats when you level and certain items help this out, but you also get pts that you can spend to up any stat you wish |

I played a fun gnome bard for about 30 minutes, and while Im impressed with the game, and the game play is sure to be great since it carbon copies WoW to a great extent, I simply dont have a system capable of running this system even on the lowest setting.
Sorry, looks fun, but I simply cant play this game  |

ya the lag does seem to be a problem, but from reading around it's like that with everyone. AVG FPS is in the 20s to 30s with lows in the 15 range in cities. Sony is doing a lot of debug code which chews up output. Hopefully this will correct itself soon. I still think I"m gonna get a extra stick of ram though. |

So how does this game compare to WoW cause I am interested, but I hit 70 about a 1&1/2 weeks ago, and we are about to start raiding in my guild. So its gotta be pretty damn good to get me to give up the work I put into WoW lol |
