Ok here's the question, what is it about wemon when they ask for a guys help that once we try to offer it, they say "Your in the way" you got 5 days to come up with the answer, dosen't matter who answers it male female but the answer has to make since on a guys level of understanding ladies if you answer it, and guys the answer has to make since on a womens level of understanding if you answer. Five days starts now.

Um....no.
I know that I will ask for help every now and again. For me it's a control issue. I really want the help but at the same time I am a stay at home mom and feel that asking for help or letting someone help isn't right sometimes. My husband works( in the army of all things) and I stay home. He comes home, sees that I am tired and wants to help. I too see that he is tired and tell him to just go lay down I can handle it. Then we get into the whole "well you're at home all day doing this, it's my family to I can help," BUT I don't work therefore I feel it is my job to take care of the house and all that happen in said house. Dealing with the kids for another couple of hours till they go to bed is no big deal to me. I am sure that made no sense what so ever. Um....yeah... |

?? Now if what your saying is true then how come most wemon tend to get onto the husband for not helping after they have just peviously told him, "Your in the way"? I have to review some more answers. |

I think I may have the answer for that. The answer is that guys are 'in the way' in that situation because they are not doing it the way the woman wants it done.
For instance, a woman may say, "yeah, okay, go ahead and put the dishes away" but if they're inefficient (in the woman's eyes) at doing so, they may say, "You're just in the way, let me take care of it" and such.
Of course, most of the chicks that are like that are kind of jerks. I mean, even if he isn't just doing it "not the way the woman wants it done" and is really doing a horrible job at it...Yeah, he's not doing it right, but at least he's trying, right? And he can't learn how to do it if he doesn't do it. |

So your saying that some wemon have a power trip? Or could it be that the kitchen is usually the womens domain and when she ask for help she then notices that her domain is beeing messed with and she desides to call off the help that she had asked for so she can regain her power? |

I agree with Legend on this; however, it isn't what I would call a power trip, Kei. No power is ever really lost to be regained.
Its not always that the job doesn't get done like she wants it done; it is that the man does not go about doing it in the manner she expects it to be done. People can be unpredicatable and all have their own way of doing things. What is logical to her may not be logical to him.
When those expectations aren't fulfilled some people are impatient and don't want to take time to explain it because they want it done NOW. Some women though harbor a bit of resentment at being let down. Those women are upset that they even have to explain something that seemed so simple to them.
There is also the fact that once a month women stop making any sense at all. Throw chocolate at them and run away. |

The kitchen is actually legally considered the "woman's domain."  ! You see, if an intruder enters a house and a woman retreats to a "safe area" (the kitchen, the bathroom, or a bedroom) and she shoots him inside of a "safe area," she will usually get off without legal repercussions.

I think this is really where this discussion should end--all people are different, all women are different, and relationships are different. You can't say indefinitely one way or another.

Some women probably do but I tend to just do things myself. Yes I would like to be pampered but I would then feel guilty for letting my husband who WORKS do everything while I sit on my behind.
