Before I take a side on something like this, I think that there needs to be a bit more information offered. If they were just trying on girl pants with the intention of buying, and with no disruption to the store in any way, then I think that she was wrong in kicking them out of the store. You may not accept that type of behavior, but you do have to tolerate it.

On the other hand, if there were behaving in any sort of inappropriate way (which teenage boys DO tend to do), then I think that she was justified in kicking them out.

It sounds like it could be questionable behavior on behalf of either of the parties involved.

The sad fact is, I wasn't there when she kicked them out, I was at the front of the store and didn't know about it until after it happened. So without seeing for myself, I can't provide enough details to determine whether or not it looked like they were up to something.

But in either case, it's beside the point. They were kicked out because they were boys, trying on girl's pants, which the manager deemed inappropriate. That is the truth, from the manager herself.

Hell, I went in a Hot Topic once and found THE pair of pants, I mean my dream pants, they had everything I could want on them, AND were black AND they fit me PERFECTLY. For the first time I had a perfect fit!

Now the thing is ... these were girl's pants. My coworker laughed but told me ''hey! if you really like them and they fit you, go for it!''

I regret having hesitated because the next day, my size was gone T_T

I went all across town to the other store but they didn't have my size either T.T

Moral of this story: try ANY pants. Who knows? You're best fit may be in the other section? XD

And I'm not even EMO, wtf. And as far as I know these pants didn't look emo either ... o wait, well ... they were BLACK afterall. O geez I guess they could be labeled as EMO! Whatever! <.<

I feel totally out of the times with reading this...guys wearing girl's pants?

But then again, some clothes like jeans are quite unisex where it just comes down to how they are cut. In places like The Gap, they don't even skip a beat in offering you guy's jeans if the girl's cut don't fit right. Its not an issue. I'd be interested from a guy's perspective to see if they've ever been offered a girl's cut from someplace like that.

This situation just sounds screwy...i don't know.

As far as letting multiple ppl into a single fitting room, I don't see the big deal...m/m, f/f, or m/f...if they don't cause any problems then, so what?

It gets on my nerves that the assumption is made that just because I'm in a store w/ Al, that we can't be trusted to act accordingly.
I don't take him shopping w/ me very often but on occasion, I do...where I like to get his opinion on something that I'm trying on. Its a heck of a lot easier to just have him in the fitting room w/ me than to have to hunt him down every freakin time I need his opinion, not to mention the fact of privacy. I want his opinion, not the rest of the store's.
But we've NEVER been able to do something like this...stores always assume the worst.

Then I will agree that that is wrong on her part. Like I said before, she may not accept the lifestyle choices that they choose to make, but she has to tolerate them. And as long as they are behaving in an appropriate manner, she has no business kicking them out of the store, especially if they intend to actually buy something. Hell, UP has dragged me into Victoria's Secret before, and plenty of times I've seen guys there by themselves shopping for their wives/girlfriends/mistresses, etc. No one kicks them out of the store (from what I've seen)...they're just customers. (Although, I always find guys like that kinda creepy...)

I still think that they may have been up to something that prompted her to kick them out, but unless you know for sure you can't really say.

Yeah, I agree. They had to have been doing something to catch the manager's attention.

DEATH TO EMO FASHION! ....I mean....
Look what this all comes do to is I guess now even women's clothing stores need men's dressing rooms or unisex. While beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder people have the right to wear what they want (uncomfort aside) so yes....they shouldn't have be thrown out. I feel their pain though since I was once kicked out of a store for doing nothing more than shopping.

From what I understand, she saw them walking into a dressing room, and that is what caught her attention. Because when she walked up to me all upset, she said something along the lines of "You won't believe what just happened! I caught these guys trying to go into a dressing room!" So I'm pretty sure it was the simple act of them walking into the dressing room with pants that caused her to freak out.

So you don't think that it was inappropriate that they were trying on the pants, but you disagree with allowing them to buy the pants?

ROFL. If the pant fits....buy 'em! XD!

If I am remembering this correctly, and I am pretty sure, punks were wearing girl pants back in the 70's and 80's.

Well, I think it's okay for a girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse/etc to be in the fitting room area, going into the same stall isn't exactly appropriate...I wouldn't want to be sitting down or trying this on in a place where I am pretty sure people have had sex. x_x It's not that every couple that shares a stall is going to have sex there, but I would rather not give them the oppertunity.

No, what's creepy is when you work there and are helping them, and they something like "Hey, you're about the size of my wife/girlfriend...would you mind holding this up to yourself or trying it on for me?"

....not kidding. >.>
